Trump authorizes CIA operations in Venezuela

LMAO.. Venezuela don't have enough of an army to fight a war. The cartels would put up a bigger fight than their military.
According to an intelligence bulletin from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Mexican cartels are offering a tiered system of rewards for targeting U.S. federal agents. Payments reportedly range from $2,000 for doxxing agents to $50,000 for the assassination of high-ranking Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials.

  • If Trump invaded Venezuela and took it over, the flow of drugz would not stop.
  • China's role: After China enacted class-wide regulations on fentanyl in 2019, the direct flow of finished illicit fentanyl from China to the U.S. largely stopped. However, Chinese companies remain the primary source of the precursor chemicals needed to make illicit fentanyl and other synthetic drugs.
  • Mexico's rise: Mexican drug cartels, particularly the Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation Cartels, became the main producers of illicit fentanyl following China's 2019 ban. The cartels synthesize the drug in clandestine labs in Mexico using precursor chemicals largely sourced from China.
  • India's emerging role: Due to stricter regulations in China, some illicit fentanyl production has shifted to India, which has a large pharmaceutical and chemical industry.
    • Indian companies are increasingly supplying precursor chemicals to Mexican cartels.
    • In 2025, U.S. indictments charged Indian chemical companies with supplying these chemicals to American and Mexican entities.
    • India also has a history of producing and distributing other synthetic opioids like tramadol and is becoming a transit point for illicit drugs.

I'm not sure why the activities of the CIA would be publicly announced. This is not conducive to successful operations and it places increased scrutiny on potential assets in the region.
That's highly unusual. My guess is, President Trump believes Maduro is a coward and by planting the thought of the CIA coming for him, may get him to step down.

CIA needs to win but the push to a paramilitary organization is real. It is not the best outcome except in the most extreme of circumstances.

The 1980s were the best in spy vs spy. It really had the imagination working about who was winning and the dangers were real for all of mankind.

I imagine too many Western agencies overlook some of the best minds in order to choose someone who they can mold and control to a fault, in a rigid manner.

Molding is fine but controlling can decimate their talent options. Discipline should come from principle not strictly indoctrination.

Well, nothing has changed, you can't do what's been done before and expect different results

AMANPOUR: So --

MACHADO: And Maduro has turned our country into a real threat to the national security of the United States and the hemisphere. And we're going to turn Venezuela from that criminal hub into an energy hub that brings prosperity and security to our people, first and foremost, but also to the rest of the people of the Western Hemisphere.

AMANPOUR: So, clearly Venezuela has a massive potential and riches, we know that. But, again, to the real critical issue of American involvement, you know in your hemisphere that there's been decades of it. And it hasn't all gone really well. Also, I wonder whether you were surprised that your -

- well, the president of Mexico did not join in the huge congratulations around the world, citing national sovereignty and self-determination. So, this obviously an issue. It's obviously an issue for various different leaders in Latin America.

Do you -- are you calling for American intervention in your country, military intervention?

MACHADO: We're calling for the interventions of Russia, China, Cuba and Iran to be stopped and to be expelled. Venezuela right now is a safe haven where Hezbollah, Hamas, the drug cartels, the Colombian guerrilla operate freely. And they are part of this liaison with the regime.

And what we have done, the Venezuelan people, as I said, it's already mandated regime change. We won and we need help to enforce that decision.

And that help comes in terms of applying, enforcing the law, cutting those flows that come from these criminal activities. And you know what, making public, unveiling all the information many of these governments have, not only the United States, Latin America, European countries and governments

that have -- you know, that know that their financial systems are being used by these criminal activities. We want this to be absolutely made public.

And believe me, Christiane, as we speak, the Venezuelan people are organizing, yes, underground, under huge threat, but growing and growing hope and determined, determined to prevail. Venezuela will be free.

AMANPOUR: Maria Corina Machado, that was very clear indeed. And congratulations on your Nobel Prize. Thank you very much indeed. CNN.com - Transcripts

Is trump TRYING to start a war so he can declare.......“So if we happen to be in a war … no more elections?”

Trump’s “joke” / implication: When Trump remarks, “So if we happen to be in a war … no more elections?”, that’s not a formal policy statement but appears to be more rhetorical or provocative.

You THINK trump is joking ? ........ Listen closer to Steven Miller.
God forbid he uphold his oath,

Disrupting illegal drug flow into the US is a top priority. In addition to to illegal drugs and their impact on our communities, cartels are now offering money for ICE and CBP to be shot.

And yet, the Left predictably side with the drug cartels over Trump.

meanwhile......

We bomb them 50 times and they get in one retaliatory strike and they win.

I didn't say there was a solution.

Throwing the CIA at it hasn't worked for how many decades now?

What would be your plan to end illegal drugs? I think killing drug cartels that try to bring drugs into this country to distribute is just fine with me. Light em up. But then again, our govt doesn't have a good track record on trying to end drugs.

As long as Trump sticks to the cartels, I'm fine with it. But if/when he starts talking about regime change, i'm out.
