We had a mid-term where we voted out people who even mildly objected to the war. Bye-bye Max Cleland, you hippy. Oh, wait, you are a guy who lost three limbs in Vietnam...



And both parties signed off on it.

I resigned the Republican party before the invasion. Didn't you know it would be an unmitigated disaster with far reaching consequences?

And Trump is absolutely correct. Terrorists are pouring into this country right now, thanks to the Democrat's open borders policies and their botched withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Here's the thing. We got involved in a fight between Kuwait and Iraq that had nothing to do with us, and largely happened because we didn't get involved until AFTER Iraq invaded Kuwait. Would have been nice if April Glaspie warned Saddam BEFORE he invaded, but she didn't.

We all expected the Iraqi military to topple Saddam and then we could make a deal with the new strongman, but that didn't happen. Instead, those Iraqis just loved Saddam even more, despite how much we bombed them and starved them. Meanwhile, Americans DID throw Poppy Bush out on his ass.

Bush gave us what we wanted. Shame on us for wanting that...

The US doesn't have open border policies. That's why we have 21,000 border patrol agents, the US Coast Guard and US Customs and Immigration.

One of my oldest friends, an American, worked for the Shah and reported to the US.

He said that he was blindsided by the Revolution. He said our people were all in the Shah's inner circle and too close to the Shah to read the seriousness of the student protests.
