Anytime one engages in a military conflict they are taking risks as a rule. So, what were the risks Trump was taking? He is now faced with the notion that he and his immediate family will forever be at risk for assassination from Iran. In fact, they were after Trump for assassinating an Iranian general that was known for killing Americans in the Middle East during his first term. But now I think the risk has exponentially increased, not just for Trump but for his family as well.

Secondly, you don't know the repercussions in terms of a response. Will they use a WMD now of some sort against you or use sleeper cells in your country to be activated or some sort of other diabolical reaction.

But lastly, there are the political repercussions, especially before a midterm election that you simply have to win or your whole Presidency will get shot down into impeachment mode 24/7 as we saw the last time he lost the midterms to the DNC.

Because of this, I believe Trump believed they were on the verge of having nuclear weapons, or he would have at least waited till after the midterms to avoid the risk of losing the midterms because of it.

Right or wrong, it took courage

We're officially in America 2.0.

We need a new Constitution, one with less pesky rules and restraints on government

Trump risked his entire presidency, on a conflict half way around the world. This is the difference between a president for the people and a wormy rat politician mostly concerned about their own re-election or legacy. Or in the case of Hospice Joe, a clown who needs 8 naps a day and lets unelected morons run things day to day.

Just like when Trump stood up with blood dripping from his ear, not knowing if any more gunmen were around to take more shots at him. He stands up, and pump fists his hand into the air and screams, "Fight!" instead of continuing to duck for cover and run.

Whether you think he is the devil or a good man, or something in between, you must at least admit that he has courage, something the vast majority of politicians do not have. In fact, it is something the vast majority of people in general don't have.

The Article V movement is the closest thing to this and something I support.

Power needs to be returned to the states as was designed originally by the Constitution.

What I love about Trump is, he has proven all these gas bag politicians WRONG! Again and again when the gas bag politicians declare defeat, nothing can be done, jobs won't return, the border can't be secured, etc. etc. Trump just gets the job done embarrassing the useless gas bags.

Hell I want a REFUND of MY money from these clowns in congress. I don't pay them to fail and be pathetic.

Bone Spurs, the guy who dodged service during the Vietnam War, courage? Who knows what might have happened if the folks at Faux were against the strike?

At the same time, the president’s team was closely monitoring how their most prominent supporters were reacting on social media and on television to the prospect of the United States joining the war in a more visible way.

They paid close attention to the statements of Tucker Carlson, the influential podcaster and former Fox News host, who was vehemently opposed to the United States joining Israel in taking on Iran. Mr. Trump became infuriated by some of Mr. Carlson’s commentary and started complaining about him publicly and privately.

Political advisers to Mr. Trump had been swapping notes on various public and private polls examining the popularity of military action against Iran, noting that American support for an operation depended in part on how pollsters asked the question. While polls showed that an overwhelming majority of Americans did not want the United States to go to war with Iran, most Americans also did not want Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon.

The president was closely monitoring Fox News, which was airing wall-to-wall praise of Israel’s military operation and featuring guests urging Mr. Trump to get more involved. Several Trump advisers lamented the fact that Mr. Carlson was no longer on Fox, which meant that Mr. Trump was not hearing much of the other side of the debate.

For Trump, there is no downside. He’s immune from repercussions

You’ll never hold him accountable.

Lots of people evaded Vietnam and it did not necessarily have to do with not having courage.

In fact, your democrat LBJ that started the war, started it on a false premise, that is, that Vietnam attacked the US, which it did not.

Another example of courage is the fact that Trump did not pardon himself before leaving office, like Joe Biden did along with his myriads of cronies. He refused to pardon himself despite the endless threats he heard and I heard here on these boards about wanting to put him behind bars.

Just one more example for idiots like yourself.

Trump is the most vetted President in American history

Think of it. He was investigated for 3 long years during his first term, and faced two impeachments, and then left office as the real circus started with lawsuits and felony charges.

You also had legacy media beating the "I hate Trump" drums the entire time. They even took him off Twitter so that Trump could not talk to the American people directly and later put a gag order on him while running for office later on. How can you run for office with a gag order placed on you?

No other American political figure has been persecuted like this, yet he still won office again.

Why do you think that is?

A politician like Obama or Biden would never have subjected themselves to this, along with almost being assassinated.

They simply do not have the same courage Trump has.

I am merely pointing this out, and has nothing to do with whether Trump is "good" or "bad".

You just hate Trump so much that you refuse to acknowledge this fact.

Because you’re in a cult where admitting you’re wrong is a mortal sin.

That’s why you’ll never hold him accountable. You’ll invent insane conspiracy theories that make you look like a moron to any rational observer rather than admit he’s ever done anything wrong.

Iran could nuke Tel Aviv tomorrow and it wouldn’t be Trump’s fault. You’d blame Biden.

I am merely pointing out that the man has courage, something you refuse to admit.

It's like when Hamas sends their children to die in the streets for jihad. These Hamas leaders are sending them to do something they are too chicken shit to do themselves.

I’m pointing out that there’s no actual downside for Trump in attacking Iran, therefore he didn’t act courageously.

I have already pointed out that this is incorrect.

Leftists are licking their chops for it to blow up in his face and win the midterms

In fact, they are already talking about impeaching him for it.

Well he was off, instead Obama attacked Libya to get re-elected.
Libya was a paper tiger compared to Iran. Libya surrendered their WMD program to the West long before the West decided to go in and institute regime change with Obama.
