Trump and Musk: Two Grown Men Who Need To Grow The **** Up

Run? Is it your forum too ?!
My thread, yes. I am the OP, no? Unless and until I violate the forum rules, any thread I make is my domain, with proper oversight.

But I shall leave you in the weeds to parse them at your leisure. You are free to comment on the substance of the thread if you wish.

In the meantime, Elon is morphing into a libertarian the likes of which Barry Goldwater and Ron/Rand Paul could only dream of.

VOTE YES.

How officious! You running for something?

Trump is nearly 80 years old so the idea of his growing up are slim to none.

At any rate, anyone who posts tweets like this:

has a long way to go to be called a grown up.

That ship has sailed.

Two grumpy old men. That's what my cynical side tells me. Kinda sorta like the movie with Walter Matthau, but not. My intelligent side though says these men are acting like children. Both of them.

All in all, they need to grow the **** up. Seriously. There was a good thing going between the richest, most brilliant man this world has seen since Einstein, and Trump, who staged the greatest and what some see as the most miraculous political comeback in American history. But then when Trump found out an ally of Musk's, whom he nominated for NASA, was a Democrat (oh the horror!) he pulled him. That likely led to Musk voicing his displeasure with the BBB, and then today's row.

On one side, you have Musk, a centibillionaire and pioneering aerospace and technological innovator. On the other hand, you have Trump, the United States president twice, survivor of three separate assassination attempts, one of which almost killed him. Both, who should be projecting unity in the face of a feeble attempt by the left to take them down. But what happened? They did all the work for the left by going after each other's throats. In the left's lowest moment as a party, they give them substance and nourishment.

Trump and the GOP won't cut the pork, and Musk won't support it. And to tell you the truth, I kinda didn't like Musk before he got into politics, but I admired what he was doing for the aerospace industry. His vision for Mars ignited my imagination. I became one of his fans. However, now that Musk has gotten a taste of how savage DC politics are, he shouldn't be so naive. Three months is not sufficient experience. Musk was not prepared for the savagery that he would get for engaging the American political apparatus. Trump on the other hand, has a keen political instinct, it has served him well enough to get him elected twice. Musk would be wise to get back in Trump's good graces, and fast.

But in the end, I joined politics as a fiscal conservative (now classical liberal). What Trump is doing with the BBB is a travesty. He betrays my vote and faith in him when he endorses a bill with so much pork in it. Yeah, he aced immigration, but that's only one quantum of my conservatism. I want there to be spending cuts. What I don't want is a problem in search of a solution. I don't want presidents making agreements with people like Palantir for ways to keep and store my personal information. I don't care for people who lack conviction.

I agree with Musk in the end here, and I presume I always will. Musk to me is proving more a man of the people than Trump right now, and it disappoints me to say that.

With all that being said, they are both GROWN MEN who need to grow the **** up. I've reached my limit of bullshit.

Out.
Both will realize tomorrow that the other can stab them in the heart, and suddenly cone together.

Two assholes who prove the old adage- "no honor among thieves". They can both **** off & hopefully they'll destroy each other.

I figured there was a precursor, something that lead to Musk's public meltdown today. I did not know Trump, according to you, "found out that an ally of Musk's, whom he nominated for NASA, was a Democrat (oh the horror!) he pulled him."

Elon Musk must remember though that he was not elected to any public office by the people, and what the President decides, (like it or not), trumps what he wants.

I love my president and I admire Musk, but what he pulled today over on "X" was simply unethical and disrespectful.

How can Musk seriously not support a bill but think he's entitled to substitutes?

As for Musk being salty over TRUMP not hiring a democrat Musk recommend to run NASA, TRUMP is POTUS.

Musk is making a huge mistake with his temper tantrum making thing personal against TRUMP. He needs to remember how quickly people were ready to drop him when he supported Vivek on h-1b visas, Musk was smart enough at that time to walk away. He's a fool if he thinks he can flip MAGA.

Gonna be interesting to see how the Massie Musk reboud hook-up works out with Musks latest meltdown calling for impeachment... :auiqs.jpg:

Please. Musk just wants his government welfare (EV subsidy) back. He is the world's greatest welfare queen
.

To be honest, that tweet about impeachment was more snark than anything else.
