Trump Again Claims Tariffs Will Result in Large Income Tax Cuts

It's the expensive, proprietary and critical manufactured goods, that should be brought back here, which can support and afford American labor....

The cheap stuff can stay in China....we could never pay Americans a decent salary to make that throw away, disposable crap we buy....it would likely be automated here anyway.... Imo.
what cheap stuff is that?

Naddaq us up in APR now? You can't hate the dirty media enough.

Few percent market fluctuations expected. It happens. I can live losing 3% YTD in 401K for the uptick later.
More like 10%-15% YTD.
With breakeven not expected for years.

what products would that uninhabited island be selling here?
I think that's the point.

His tariff calculations include money from places we don't import anything from.

The tariffs are an issue right now, I know this. The question i have is, what would be the cost of doing nothing? I mean long term, the cost of letting other countries tariffs us, the cost of not trying to restart manufacturing in the US?

Labor intensive assembly. If robots can assemble them then fine, move that factory here to avoid tariffs.
Just guess where we import most of our robots from?

BS. Maybe if you're all in APPL. Both IRA, 401K (diversified) ~3%-4% down last Fri when I looked. I sometimes look everday. Most I saw this year was -11%. Yes it came back. Fairly quickly off that low.

We had 4% unemployment and the strongest GDP on the globe. You can work on tariff imbalances, but don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. Again why tariffs on Canada and Mexico? We have agreements with them now - that TRUMP NEGOTIATED.

trumps unemployment numbers would not look very good if he did that....
So losing tax revenues is better? More than 80% would have a new job in months. Stop hiring with our tax dollars.

I find it ironic that demofks are concerned about no corporate tax policy but are in on losing more tax money on government jobs. Hilarious

Agreed, and he walked those back, right?

I agree the 10% across the board is wrong, and i agree that this needs to be handled delicately, but it does need to be handled.

Countries like China who steal our patents, manipulate their currency and imposed tariffs on us, shouldn't we fight back on that?
