A new poll finds that Trump is by far the most respected among political figures despite the smear campaign ran against him.

A recent poll has found that former President Donald Trump can garner far more respect from potential voters than likely 2024 opponent President Joe Biden.

The Rasmussen Reports poll saw the New York businessman dominant as 42 percent said they respected Trump the most of any listed public leader, double that of Biden — or 100 percent more.

The question was, “Which one of the following people do you respect most as a leader: Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton or Mitt Romney?”

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 42% of Likely U.S. Voters say they respect Trump most as a leader, while 21% have the most respect for President Joe Biden. Former President Barack Obama is considered the most respected leader by 17% of voters. Others are in single digits – Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders (5%), former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley (5%), Utah Sen. Mitt Romney (3%) and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (2%). (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Interesting. Rasmussen only polls likely voters for their running polls but this one included on line as well as telephone survey so unsure of who was polled. The poll rerespect pretty well matches Trump's RCP average approval rating but widely differs from the RCP average for Biden's approval rating.

Those who accuse Rasmussen of being biased to the right are just dead wrong. Rasmussen ranks about in the middle for accuracy among the major polling groups, but their error has vastly favored Democrats more than it has favored Republicans.
