It's a contact sport yes, but it appears to have had two elements that were wrong in the event.

1. MALE IN A FEMALES SPORT.

2. A CHARGE THAT THE MALE VIOLATED HIS FEMALE OPPONENT DURING THE CLOSE CONTACT INVOLVED, WAS BEING QUESTIONED AS IF IT DIDN'T HAPPEN BECAUSE THE OPPONENT WAS A MALE IN THE FEMALE CATEGORY OF THE SPORT.

It shouldn't even be a question on #2, because the male shouldn't have been wrestling in the female category of the sport to begin with.

1) My Nephew was a champion NCAA wrestler. It's how he paid for college. You aren't supposed to touch your opponent's genitals, but it happens. In this case, there was a referee monitoring the match, and he didn't call a foul. It's also not obvious by the video that exists of the match.

2) Given Trump's bragging about "Grabbing them by the (word we can't say anymore)" I find it kind of hard to accept the right wing outrage here. You certainly weren't outraged by that.
