This not true. The people obsessed with it are the left and the media. That is why you can watch any new Netflix produced show, and there will be a token representative of the LGBT community. So much so that even some congress members are wanting to bring in Netflix execs to discuss LGBT representation in a few of their kids shows.
The obsession is the very small minority in the community that appear to have social leverage over the majority of population. However, that leverage is waning. The past POTUS election has shown that. Left pundits have started calling out the far left ideology like:
LGBTQ supporting Hamas and Palestinians who would throw them off the top of buildings.
The inability to define women while at the same time, attempting to force society to accept that a man can assume all aspects of being a women only by changing their own gender definition. Then at the same time attempting to change science and biology by claiming that men can give birth and a whole host of other woke ideology.
And then god forbid, mis gender or call someone by their 'dead' name brings outrage and attempts to cancel.
And then you have the wakos who are trying to medically and surgically alter the bodies of children and pre-teens because of some social contagion before these kids even know how their bodies work sexually.
Tell me who's obsessed now?
