Toyota Motor Corp. will build its Prius gasoline-electric car in the U.S., responding to a weakened dollar by producing the world's best-selling hybrid where there's most demand.
The Prius will be assembled in late 2010 at a plant under construction in Blue Springs, Mississippi, that had been scheduled to build Highlander SUVs. The switch will trigger changes at other factories and result in the automaker's most fuel-inefficient trucks being made in one factory instead of two.
