Too much stereotyping

As an Independent, I'm mildly dismayed (I say mildly because I read so much of it, I've become numb to it!) at the mindless stereotyping that goes on here. i.e.

Stereotype: Conservatives are uneducated, racist, sexist goons who hate our environment, hate the poor, hate our allies, and hate everyone why doesn't think just like them. Reality: Many Conservatives are very well educated, care deeply about our environment, are serious about eliminating poverty, sincerely want good relations with our allies, and don't have a racist or sexist thought in them.

Stereotype: Liberals are lazy, pot smoking Socialists, who hate their country, hate white people, want open borders, and only want "free stuff" Reality: Millions of Liberals have served voluntarily in active-duty military ranks, work long hours running business's, serve as border guards, work as everything from financial analysis to construction workers, and don't have a racist or sexist thought in them.

Conservatives and Liberals - Despite your negative attitude towards each other, the reality is you folks are not that different at all, so, please tone down the stereotyping. I know it's fun to do from behind your keyboard knowing you'll face no retribution but stereotyping people who don't agree with you is just another form of lying to yourself.

Guilt trip thread. Not gonna happen.

Dems policies are clear. Their tactics are clear. We are returning fire.

In the House's new budget bill they are spending other people's money and a lot of it.

Sadly most people hold very few principled positions outside of party affiliation.
