Too many flags in football?

Are the refs controlling the game too much? How about a football league without any penalties? It would be the football version of cage fighting. Bring back the old game. Bring back the leather helmets, with no face masks. But players are expelled from the game for cheap shots, with no warnings. No late hits, crotch shots, or hitting a player on the ground.
I'm just really tired of the officials deciding the outcome of all the games.

The Refs are clearly Democrats. They control every aspect of the game while playing "big daddy" making sure nobody gets hurt. Flags = fees, penalties, regulations, and general micro-management.

Cut down the season to 8 games. They wouldn't be able to field a team otherwise.
