Tom Homan: It's been hard to find undocumented immigrants.

Fine. Plan A didn’t work. Time for Plan B…. “Papers!! Papers, please, everyone!!” and I am 109% in agreement with it.
You carry your birth certificate with you everywhere 100% of the time? It would be great for America if YOU won a free trip to El Salvador.

The investigation started in 2011, way before Trump, who just inherited the case.

Asplundh Tree Experts (2017)
Details: The Pennsylvania-based company pleaded guilty to employing undocumented workers and paid a record $95 million fine, the largest ever levied by ICE for immigration violations. This case stemmed from a six-year investigation.

And this detail

Key Observations:
Limited Corporate Prosecutions: Despite ICE’s stated mission to focus on criminal prosecution of employers who knowingly hire undocumented workers, actual prosecutions of companies were rare.

Not only is the thread headline deliberately misleading, it is disproved by the Homan quote in the OP linked article.

What a crap way to start a thread.

“It is hard because rather than one man arresting one bad guy in a jail, we’ve got to send a whole team to the field to find someone that doesn’t want to be found,” he said in an interview Sunday.

Homan said it was especially difficult to locate targets in sanctuary cities such as New York,

The Asplundh investigation was done under Obama. It just wrapped up under Trump.

Mississippi Raids. Did you read it? No charges for employer.

Chicago. Notes the company got off with no charges.

Houston. Paid a fine. No charges.

Tennessee. Targeted one employee, business got off free.
You want a very specific action, when other punitive actions can be taken. You don't just suddenly leap to the end like an impulsive child.

"it's been hard to find undocumented immigrants with criminal records"

Well duh, because

1) As of the time of this OP, activists were leaking locations of ICE raids, and,

2) Undocumented immigrants with criminal records aren't just going to make themselves easy to find, are they?

Dude, where do you get this stuff?

Bud, it's Homan who said it.

I've argued for years that there need to be business raids. Trump doesn't have it in him to do it.
No one does

Know why?

Because business would SCREAM

And those are the big donars

Now you're being naive,
You forgot who tipped them off.

Trump tipped them off

Jan. 22 – DOJ threatens action against Chicago officials who resist immigration orders

Jan. 23 – ICE makes first major sweep under Trump with over 460 arrests nationwide, including Illinois

ICE carried out its first large-scale operation under the Trump administration, arresting more than 460 people across multiple states, including Illinois.
460 here and 460 there and before you know it… they’ll have deported a couple thousand… maybe

Out of what… 17 million

It’s a farce
