AUSTIN, Texas —Tom DeLay, the former House majority leader, was sentenced to three years in prison on Monday after convictions for money laundering and conspiracy stemming from his role in a scheme to channel corporate contributions to Texas state races in 2002.

Er, yeah, if you read the article you'd know he's expected to meet his bail-bond and be released pending an appeal.

So, he'll be a free man once he's posted that trifling $10,000 bond.

And he'll go to some minimum security "camp" prison which is reserved for elites like Delay, where he'll be more comfortable than is the average E-1 in the military. Those places are nothing like the kind of prisons the common citizen would experience.
