And this guy has a beautiful wife.

Would deflated balls or not have made a difference, I doubt it the Colts were lucky to be in the game in the first place. For that matter the Ravens could have beaten the pats so let's not crown the king too fast. GB is better then the Colts and gave the hawks a lot of trouble and only lost because of incredible luck. What it showed though is that the hawks can come back from a dismal performance.

That all said, if they did deflate the balls did it make a difference? Yes, any time a team cheats it makes a difference. Did it make much of a difference when the Patriots stole defensive signals? Probably not, but the fact that they did it shows their true character.

That was as one sided a game as I've ever seen...the Patriots could have been throwing a shotput and I think they still would have beaten the Colts. Gee, they found a ball that felt a little soft and took it out of the game...hold the presses!

I at first thought big deal a deflated ball. But think about it, would the NFL be investigating right before their biggest game if there was nothing to it? Why are they investigating? Who said they should look at the balls in the first place? Or do they inspect the balls after the game to see if there is some monkey business? We know the Patriots will cheat that was well proved, so this comes as little surprise.

Something like 12 of the 14 balls were 2lbs underinflated. THAT is a significant violation of the rules regarding the pressure and weight of the official NFL football.

Where are you getting the information that 12 of 14 balls were 2 lbs under inflated? I'm curious because I was under the impression that each team furnished only 12 balls.

Wouldn't underinflated balls help both teams?

Reading comprehension problems?

I said "SOMETHING LIKE".

Both teams bring their own footballs. The way the cheating was discovered was by a Colt DB that took his intercepted ball to the officials because he was suspicious of the legality of the ball.

I was just listening to Colin Cowherd in the car and he's reporting that the balls were discovered to be under-inflated in the first half and were re-inflated to the proper level before the start of the second half. I'm sorry, Kiddies but if that's the case it's hard to make the case that this was the advantage for the Patriots that it's been made out to be since the Patriots-Colts game was fairly close UNTIL the second half...when the Patriots blew them out! Just saying...

I mean let's be honest here folks...when they put the "regulation" balls in and New England proceeds to outscore the Colts 28 to 0 in the third quarter...I'm not seeing the balls as that much of a factor. As a matter of fact I'm seeing this whole story as "much ado about nothing"!

Truth is, the Patriots cheat. Did it make a difference, who knows? If a defensive player can tell the difference after an interception it was pretty damn obvious. Why in the hell do you think we have rules? Most holding calls I see wouldn't make a difference in the end of the game nor even the play. The league has to come down hard on the Patriots. Consider, if it only meant one touchdown then that means someone in some pool got screwed.

The reason there may have only been 11 out of 12 is because they needed on for field goals. Another solution would be to have the refs supply the balls, that way the Patriots would have to find another way to cheat, and I will bet they already do.

Each team supplies their own game balls. This was detected by an intercepted pass.

Patriots Win AFC*

And that is all that matters to you and the Patriots. Make all the excuses you want, the Patriots cheat, it has been proved time and again.

So is holding "cheating"? Should a player be banned from a game for doing so? Where is it that your selective enforcement of the rules begins and ends? When an player sprays Pam on his uniform shirt to make it harder for an opponent to grab them...should that player be banned from games? When an offensive coordinator uses pick plays to free receivers should that coordinator be fined?

You want to put a stop to coaches trying to get an edge in games? Penalize them in the game itself. You play with an under-inflated ball and the opponent calls you on it...make it the same as intentional grounding...loss of a down and yardage. You call a team for an under-inflated ball and it's legal? You lose a time out.

This nonsense with trying to determine what to do after games are over and done with is ridiculous.

Sources are reporting that the under-inflated balls were inflated to legal specifications for the second half of the game, Freewill. So did you want to explain why the Patriots outscored the Colts 28 to 0 once they lost their "cheater" balls?

While you're at it...kindly explain why the Patriots went undefeated for the regular season the year that "Spygate" broke yet they played their last seven games without being able to videotape other teams as they had? It's because the taping was such a small advantage that it's laughable to make the case THAT was why the Patriots won and YOUR shitty team lost!

You mistook what I was saying. If violation of the rules, not matter which one, then none of the rules matter.

What if you heard that the Colts threw the game? Or if they did find that all the Patriots were on some performance enhancing drug? Do you look the other way because the game is over? Do we look the other way once a bank robbery is over? The Patriots cheated get over it. Maybe it was an accident but if a defensive player can detect the difference then obviously the Patriots, or someone the Patriots had to know, like Brady.

Should we go back and take away a win from a team because they used a pick play on a winning score but the officials missed the call?
