Wrong again georgie boy as the UN took on the old LoN's debts when it was amalgamated into the UN. This included the LoN ownership and control of the lands of Palestine, Syria, Iraq and Jordan under the various mandates. So as you see the UN became an extension of the LoN in this respect and proceeded to administer the mandate of Palestine. It is unfortunate that the UN allowed a committee to sort out the Palestine problem instead of going with the original LoN plan.

The Arabs have a history of refusing to cooperate with efforts to restore peace in the region since the 1920s, as I have said a million times before, Israel has made many concessions for peace; only to be rebuffed and vilified for it's efforts. When they defend themselves from aggression, they are seen as the aggressors. When someone attacks them, they are seen as defending themselves from Israeli aggression.

Israel's. Their claim to that land goes back over 3,000 years. Arabs had been selling land to Jews since the late 1910's. By the time the Balfour Declaration came along, the Palestinian Arabs had worked themselves into a corner, finding themselves with the smaller plot of land than the Jews. The Palestinians can only trace their lineage to the conquests of Muhammad at least 1,000 years ago.
