To Vaccinate Or Not To Vaccinate, That Is The Question

In classic socialist democrat left wing media fashion, they pull the slight of hand.

One, the media will focus on those "right wingers" who are against FORCED vaccinations. That is how they perpetuate the narrative that the right hates kids. It works every time on their stupid left wing double talking puppet constituency.

Two, by focusing on the tired brainwashing narrative, the media will not research or ignore the origins of these outbreaks. We all know why that is.

Three, they will perpetuate how good big government is and that is really important.

Fucking left wing scumbags.
Image search "smallpox". Fucking liberal scumbags made sure your kids never came down with that. Google search "Iron lung" fucking liberal scumbags made sure your kid doesn't end up in one just because they went to the lake to swim. Eradicating smallpox and polio here alone is reason enough to have a least a little bit of thanks for "big government".
It still wasn't mandated.

So stop arguing in black and white terms when it is really a grey issue.
I received both vaccines at the health dept. before I was allowed to start school, seems kind of mandated to me.
That might have been the case locally but it wasn't mandated nationally. Your parents could have fought it in court and won. Now Democrats want to make it a federal law.

I'm totally against mandatory vaccines. The government should stay out of decisions that belong to the parents.

The problem with that is that there are children out there who are medically unable to get vaccinated. And the more people OPT out of vaccinations, the more chance these kid will be exposed to potentially lethal illnesses.

I am all for individual freedoms, and my postings here will bear that out. But this is about the health of many, many people around you. This is not an individual issue, but one of safety for our society.

I had the measles as a child. I'm still here. Anything to create panic and fear in the American people. It's all about control.

I'm glad. But your comment only shows your ignorance about measles.

from: WHO Measles
  • Measles is one of the leading causes of death among young children even though a safe and cost-effective vaccine is available.
  • In 2013, there were 145 700 measles deaths globally – about 400 deaths every day or 16 deaths every hour.
  • Measles vaccination resulted in a 75% drop in measles deaths between 2000 and 2013 worldwide.
  • In 2013, about 84% of the world's children received one dose of measles vaccine by their first birthday through routine health services – up from 73% in 2000.
  • During 2000-2013, measles vaccination prevented an estimated 15.6 million deaths making measles vaccine one of the best buys in public health.

If you plan on NOT having your kids immunized, please home school them then.

WHY

if you vaccinate your children

they are not going to catch the diseases

Because there are children out there who, for medical reasons, cannot be vaccinated. The people who CHOOSE not to vaccinate their children are putting those children at risk for no reason.

Is this a case of Republicans being FOR states rights before they were against states rights?
Must really piss Repugs off that a Repub Governor like Kasich is all for vaccines.

It was required before you were allowed to attend school.

Not in my school.
Only requirement was passing an oral exam.

Its pretty funny to watch the RWs dance around this issue. President Obama is in favor of vaccines so of course, the RWs have to be against it. Since that would be way too stupid, even for RWs, they have to play games.

Amazingly, some are even blaming the refugee kids for the measles outbreak - even though South America has a better record of vacc'ing their kids that we do.

Those kids aren't from South America.

Democrats are inventing another issue. They claim that all Republicans are Neanderthals who don't believe in vaccination and so they now support it. Unfortunately many Democrats believed that vaccinations were causing Autism and were dead set against it. Now they see an opening to cause another issue against Republicans.

Somebody floats the idea that vaccinations should be mandatory. Republicans believe in freedom and speak out against the mandates and Walla, we have an issue.

Some believe that the California outbreak in measles was caused by a president that didn't screen tens of thousands of illegals before he flooded them into our schools. We have no proof of this, but it looks pretty suspicious that months after Obama force tens of thousands of refugees from Al Salvador and Guatemala into our schools, kids are coming down with diseases that were almost completely eradicated in the United States. Some believe that Obama was bringing in Ebola patients on purpose to create a scare and it blew up in his face. This measles outbreak is just another version of that. Perhaps another try at a failed artificial issue Obama tried to create before the election.

I remember in the 60s everyone was getting vaccinated against TB, Polio, and other communicable diseases, but it was never mandatory. Making it mandatory is an infringement on our rights but do Democrats care? No. They just love forcing people to do what they feel is good for them.

This is the issue:

Democrats - We support mandates

Republicans - We support the freedom not to

The battle-lines are being drawn. Let the fight begin.

Just like Sandra Fluke.

It's the same tactic. Throw out a silly proposal that will cost billions of dollars and Republicans simply oppose the silliness.

The biggest issues in regards to ALL of these diseases are how they all of a sudden got here and how to prevent more insidious diseases from getting here.

That includes that mystery flu which was no mystery at all but actually came from Honduras.

How tuberculosis came to be here with a deadlier strain.

How to prevent these things from happening.

Those pressing issues will be totally ignored by the media and we all know why. If you dumb left wing baboons cannot see the importance of those issues then you are nothing but brainwashed tools.

The entire thing is an exercise in stupid that spans the political spectrum. Measles has never been eradicated in this country, not even close.
I thought it was what was called a "childhood disease" that most everyone got in the course of growing up.

I don't remember a lot of panic about it back in the day.

We just got it, and moved on.

Now, some act like it is polio.

I think it is reasonable that one could have some choice, but, some basic vaccinations should be required unless there is a really legitimate reason not to, like a kid with cancer or something.

The left just loves using the media to create hysteria so they can manipulate the voters. They tried to do the same thing with guns and it backfired.

Cleanest war we ever conducted. More died during the D-Day rehearsal than in Iraq. Thousands more died in a month on Iwo Jima.
