No foreign power could possibly have sabotaged the American public school system any more effectively than the Democrat politicians who facilitated the unionization of America's teachers. And while I have not done a scientific study of the matter, I would bet a dollar to a dime that in every state that has this abomination, it was a Democrat governor or a Democrat legislature that made the change.

They are never terminated for failure to perform, and parents have essentially no recourse when their unfortunate children are placed in classrooms with incompetent teachers. Any initiative or innovation that might place the slightest additional burden on any teacher is both fought and used as a pretext for additional staffing or compensation.

The vast majority of Americans fail to realize that the schools are run by elected school boards. Have you ever even talked to a member of your school board? Do you even know their name? Do you know their qualifications?

In one of my school districts, the people actually elected a high school dropout to a position on the school board because of his family name. The man had a 10th grade education, and yet he was responsible for managing education by teachers who had a minimum of a Bachelo'rs degree, most having a Master's and a few Doctorates. Can you say clueless? That would apply to him and those who voted for him.

There are far more online K-12 sources now than 20 years ago, I'm sure, and there are students who cannot attend school for various reasons who do cover it all online.

One system has been advertising on TV lately, but I know nothing about it.
