President Roosevelt's racism- including the interment of Japanese and fielding a segregated Jim Crow Army in the 2nd world war should disqualify him from being honored with this statue in the nation's own capital.

Perhaps when this monument was erected, segregation and racism were considered "ok", but now they are not.

The plot of land where the memorial is at can be used for a monument to a worthy American like Freddie Gay or Notorious Big.

I think it's perfect for the times.

It shows a homeless guy and his dog:

The monument is fine where it is at. It's certain people who need to go . . .

The Italians and Germans were also interned it is what countries did when at war with nations, which happened during WWI also.

That's sort of hilarious. Because the Germans and Italians- Hitler and Mussolini- did it, it makes it "ok" for Roosevelt to do it in your mind?

I look at it differently, let's cancel ALL of the socialists.

The Germans and Italians were interned in the US while being US citizens. Why are you so short on knowledge of US history?
