Time to mandate the Lord's Prayer in government schools

My 7-year-old insists on reading a few passages from the Bible together each night before he goes to bed (or I fall asleep on the sofa).

Not only that.

But the Lord's Prayer is already said at non-sectarian events like AA, which convicted drunk drivers are already sent to by secular judges as punishment.

You don't have to join AA, and it has nothing to do with the govt.

There are children in public schools who should not be forced to recite prayers their family might not agree with.

This goes for all prayers from all religions.

Geez, folks, this is not difficult.

According to the video students would have to get parents consent to participate which would alleviate my primary concern.

I'm not from Texas, is the AG that is advocating this, Angela's husband here:
In a statement, Angela Paxton said she moved to end her 38-year marriage “on biblical grounds,” citing “recent discoveries.”
So you would have no problem with Muslim students saying their prayers under your own children's participation? How about the reading of the Torah?

While my primary concern of forced participation would be alleviated, if this involved Arizona schools, I would look at the issue very carefully. I'd check exact wording of the AG's proposal and if finding no problem there, I'd next look into the local school district and how it was to be implemented.

It's pointless because it is grossly unconstitutional and has been since 1962. There is no doubt about it.
