I understand fake news and how it works, I've been seeing it for decades now. No one on the planet will ever convince me that 99% of today's media are not in the tank for the left wing. Firstly it's ACCEPT not except.
Secondly, this whole "fake news" thing. I bet you don't even understand news and how it works at all. News can be manipulated, it always has been and it's impossible not to manipulate something. The top story of the day is something most people will likely read. So, if three media outlets have different stories as their number one, they're all manipulating you. They can't help it. Putting a story of Trump ahead of a mining disaster in the Congo makes a suggestion that one is more important than the other.
Secondly, only people who are unwilling to use their brains properly use one source for their news. This is a big problem. The BIGGEST problem isn't the media, but the people who read the media and are incapable or unwilling to actually go out there and figure things out for themselves.
In the modern era you have thousands and thousands of sources for your news. You have google translate to help you read Russian media in English. You have al Jazeera in English, Chinese CCTV in English, you have Australian, New Zealand, South African, Zambian, Zimbabwean, English, Canadian news in English too. If you're finding that one media outlet is producing something that is "fake", which is in most cases not fake but opinionated, then you can go elsewhere.
In fact, one person put something up on here and said "fake news", I asked what about it was fake and he replied that it was all fake. So I broke the story down, it was about Trump, and asked if each part was fake. Guess what? No reply. A surprise? Hell no.
There's more fake on forums like this BY FAR than in the media. Because the media has to be careful, it can get sued. Whereas people like you can say whatever bullshit they like and get away with it, and people like you LOVE to say "fake news" for anything which is inconvenient, without actually stating WHY it is fake news.
Hence the problem, it's not the media that's the problem, it's the normal people who are the problem.
