How many people will think like this? I think if they all got the cojones to vote third party, there might actually be some real positive change in the US for once.

The biggest problem is getting Americans to agree on what they consider positive change. Someone like Bernie Sanders in a third party bid would certainly bring about some very positive changes for lower and middle class Americans, but very few Republicans would agree with his brand of change, even though it would benefit most of them.

I think we DO need a 3rd Party, but a true 3rd Party.

I encourage you and all your friends to vote third party.

If people would stop seeing politics as a team sport then yes. Unfortunately, most people want to 'win' rather than elect a leader that will actually change anything.

I think Bernie should defy the odds and go third party. Yes indeed. Show your back bone Dems...........:eusa_whistle:

Maybe someone better than trump will one day run 3rd party against president Kaine and GOP nominee Paul ryan and win. Who out there could do it? A celebrity? A former athlete? Michael strahan?

If liberals in red states want to pull this country to the left they should vote for Jill Stein. The more votes her party gets the more money power and influence they get. But only if you live in a really red state so it doesn't matter

I seriously doubt you could find a third party with a platform that would appeal to enough disaffected liberal and conservative voters to have any real impact.
What if trump stayed on message and didnt piss of every demographic and the GOP screwed him and nominated cruz.

Why couldn't trump have beat hillary and Cruz?

I have yet to see how Jill Stein or Gary Johnson deserve anyone's vote. Neither one of them has been vetted and it appears the only reason to vote for them is because they are 3rd party.

Jill Stein seems nutty, Gary Johnson the libertarian was the governor of a welfare state.

What if Sanders had run third party when the DNC screwed him? Maybe he would have beaten both Trump and Hillary much like your scenario we will never know.

A socialist? Trump has a much better populist message. Unfortunately he went off message

Yeah, that's it, all you Hillary voters should vote for Jill Stein!

You're forgetting the third possibility, which is losing.

Actually I believe people should start demanding real change, rather than simply passing the baton as seems to appear to be the case right now. Calling for their politicians to take seriously ideas like changing the way people vote in elections.

I voted 3rd party in 2008 and 2012....didn't do any good. But hey go ahead.

No, it didn't do any good, these things take time, and in the case of the current political system a lot of time. In the UK UKIP rose in the 1990s and grew and grew until they got a referendum on the EU...... It ended up making a difference, okay, a really negative difference, but hey...
