That had to come. Joe's policy on immigration sucked from day 2 of his administration, even Kamala laughed about it and the trouble it caused, before she was in office 2 months.
Everybody, Democrat, Republican, Independent and especially all legal immigrants and their families (children, grand children, great grand children) should support the removal of illegal aliens. I certainly do. The only supporters for keeping illegal aliens would be those making money off the underground economy, illegal labor, and criminal elements, such as human traffickers. I understand Texas construction industry is whining about it already.

I agree all US citizens should support deporting all illegals, but many people, mostly democrats, just went along with things like DACA and sanctuary cities because they thought it wasn't affecting them and for virtue signaling.

The fact is, when presented choices without naming a specific political party, all but the committed Marxists agree with the GOP on almost every basic issue from immigration/migration control to taxes to sociopolitical principles. The Democrats have always been and will no doubt continue to be more government oriented as the way to solve basic problems while Republicans tend to believe the private sector, given liberty and incentive to do so, is likely to do better to solve problems than any government will do.

But before the Marxists and 'wokeism' took over a huge chunk of the institutions that make the laws and control the message, we all pretty much shared the same basic values, sense of patriotism, sense of what liberty is.

I don't know what it will take to root out Marxist concepts and 'wokeism' so that we can get back to that America. But electing Donald Trump and a GOP congress is hopefully a good start.
