They are young, unwise and ignorant. The more education, the more they are indoctrinated by left-wing professors, most of which only know theory and have never seen the world away from an academic setting.

Travel to the vast majority of other countries in the world and then tell up about how they don’t like Capitalism. This Pollyanna world they live in while in college soon ends. Most grow up and realize the errors in their thinking, but the goal of educational indoctrination is to prevent that. Unfortunately for our country, it is very effective on most. Few are intelligent enough to challenge the ideas that have been pounded into their heads. It is hard to break from the norm and differ from the group think that goes on in most college campuses and classrooms.

What matters is that the rich keep getting richer as incomes for most Americans, including college graduates, declines. One does not get places in politics by changing people's minds. One gets places by channeling sentiments that already exist.

If you actually read the very next sentance from sourced article - "The doctor and contruction worker make the same...government provides 30lb of rice and housing"

Who the hell hears that and thinks - oh wow, doctors get rice and gov appointed communal shelter? That sure sounds nice.

The problem is the US is pretty simple. It's about the electoral system.

People vote negatively because there are only two parties who don't represent the vast majority of the people. FPTP leads to easy wins. You only need to get more votes than your opponent in a small area.

Proportional Representation wouldn't stop all the problems, but it would change the mentality of the voters, it would change the mentality of the politicians who would have to operate in a much harder, less money orientated electoral system.

Communism demonstrates that a dictatorship is an inappropriate government for a socialist economy. Under Communism the dictator can decree a luxurious standard of living for him and his cronies when most of the people in his country are poor. That is obviously what has happened in North Korea.
