The President will be given the power to ban WEB SITES, not just Apps. The person breaking the new law is deemed to be the U.S. (or offshore) INTERNET HOSTING SERVICE or App Store, not the ‘foreign adversary,'” Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) warned on X.

Billionaire Elon Musk agrees with that conclusion and issued his own warning on X, “This law is not just about TikTok, it is about censorship and government control! If it were just about TikTok, it would only cite ‘foreign control’ as the issue, but it does not.”

Seems government can't do anything without establishing more control over citizens.

The legislation is prima facie un-Constitutional because it seeks to exact punitive measures absent evidence that Tik Tok poses a national security threat, having nothing to do with authorizing president to ‘shutdown’ websites.

Just so I understand. It’s wrong for the Chinese companies to get the same information about me that Apple, Google, Amazon, Walmart, eBay, Microsoft, and every other company gets. That doesn’t even begin to cover what information the various Alphabet Soup Agencies can get on us based upon our phones.

Does that about cover it? It’s perfectly acceptable for everyone but the Chinese to track and spy on us?
