"bad" isn't a scientific word ... however, science can say this molecule is carbon's lowest energy state ... what the egg-heads call "fully oxidized" ... the analogy is with metal ores ... we have to add energy to iron oxide and aluminum oxide to get the raw metals, just like we have to add energy to carbon dioxide to get the carbon free so we can use it for proteins and sugars and a whole host of other chemicals ...

But yeah, the north cap probably will melt but it won’t be because of an incremental 0.0012% of CO2.
