I predicted Obama would be where he is now even before he was elected.
I based this prediction on the economic downturn being painful and prolonged.
The right wing media's influence on the people of America.
And the stupidity of a lot of Americans with their short memory and attention spans.
I was of course ridiculed for my prediction at the time, because everyone knew the economy was just adjusting and would bounce back in 6 months or so.
I agree completely with you. I myself seen it coming way before the election was over and knew automatically who was going to win the election 3 months prior to the final day. Everyone was right winged by the media (on the election), if something bad was said about him, it was discarded and not reported. I myself do not have a short span memory and I remember the whole election. He was mainly telling people what they wanted to hear (and still does) but does not follow through and I am sorry to say but our country is paying for it now (unfortunately). I am not saying McCain would have done better, but we never will know now.
Also, I am glad to see that our country is trying to put racism behind us now and we have the first half African / and what other part American (I just say if you live in America - it should be no races, just Americans). He was solely elected on that fact, I hate to be the ball buster, but the media pressed him into office and reported solely good things and like I said earlier - if it was something negative, it got cut off real quick and was told not to be mentioned again. Also he has no viable birth certificate (if so it is lost or hidden very well) that can be found. And if you are an American president then you should have to follow our American President Rituals (such as placing your hand on the bible and covering your heart when the flag is raised or saluting it). But he is our Commander and Chief and a long time ago - I took the oath of protecting this country from foreign and domestic and follow orders of both the Governor of my great state and the President of the United States. Which to this day, I still take very serious. But it is a shame that things are turning out the way they are, we are falling more and more in debt that he promise to fix (it is somewhere in the neighborhood of what 4 trillion dollars now - someone let me know if I am wrong on my calculations) and talking about spending more money THAT WE DO NOT HAVE TO SPEND - that is not smart, how can we borrow more money and gain ground enough to get out of debt. You have to take in consideration, the money we already borrowed and spent is increasing interest everyday and then you borrow and spend more money and that interest increases more. At that point we will never be out of debt and the value of the dollar is going to continue to drop more and more. I hope on the next election, people vote for someone that is qualified to be President and has the experience. Honestly, we had neither, they both were just as bad as the other, they both had flaws and people who voted "This is just an opinion, so if you do not like it I am sorry people", voted for the unbelievable and ultimately wrong reason. When you vote it should be based on two things and maybe more but I have said enough so I am cutting myself off to end it: 1. WHERE HE / SHE STANDS ON THE TOPICS AND HOW THEY WILL HANDLE THEM 2. EXPERIENCE!!!!!
I am not a Republican, Democrat, or Liberal (I AM JUST ME), I am not a racist (I AM A MAN WHO BELIEVE EVERYONE IS CREATED EQUAL), but I AM AN AMERICAN (I love my country and will fight for her any day if asked and would protect the governor of my great state at all cost like I would the president) I HONOR THOSE WHO FIGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY (All Branches of the Armed Forces), THOSE BRAVE SOLES OVER SEAS DESERVE ALL OF OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS, but I DO START TO CRY TO SEE WHERE THIS COUNTRY IS HEADING (DEBT WISE). We once were a great country that stood tall and depended on ourselves, now we out-source on everything - even with our money and that is a shame.

Just Confused in What is Going on in Washington these Days

I do respect others comments, but if you can make it a respectful comment and not a burn (if you burn me, you are not worth responding to) We are all adults, lets act as such.
