Executive branch, EPA, IRS and Intel Agencies totally out of control...no prosecutions........no answers...in fact retaliation that if left unchecked will be the end of USA
The NSA won't tell Congress how many Americans it's spying on because our democracy is broken

It's especially weird since the NSA's charter is for foreign intelligence, so the answer to "how many Americans are you spying on?" should really be zero. But we all know that's not true, thanks to documents leaked by a whistleblower who is unable to enter the country on pain of immediate lifetime imprisonment.

It's also worth remembering that the last time Congress tried to hold an intelligence agency accountable for its actions, the CIA literally broke into the congressional offices of the people investigating it, a gross violation of democratic norms for which the agency has still faced no repercussions.

It's a fine line we're walking to say the least. I am a supporter of a lot of these programs, but I'll admit that abuse can happen and agree with you in part. We need the irs, epa and intel agencies, but once again I'll agree that if they're breaking any laws that congress does need to do their jobs. The executive branch has always had executive powers all the way back to the Time of George Washington...So to say that it shouldn't have the ability to make executive decision is a misunderstanding of the constitution on the ops part.

This stonewalling will continue if Hillary should win the presidency, and the data collection under 702 will continue. This abuse of our liberty is the main reason the American people want an outsider and are supporting Trump for President.

CIA is so desperate, they would try anything.

Remember; NSA is the only firewall that is between you and them.
Try holding to it, rather than trying to destroy it...

You mean the ATTN Gen needs to do their job.........without partisanship......agressively......otherwise they should be removed

Seems NSA has acquired the do anything attitude people be damned

“You would think there would be some more tangible action Congress could take, given its constitutional mandate to provide oversight of the executive branch, but you would be wrong.”

You would be wrong because the Constitution ‘mandates’ no such thing:

“Of the doctrine of the separation of powers, so familiar to readers of Supreme Court opinions, the Constitution says not a word.”

Separation of Powers: Introduction

Instead, it is the people who are charged with the responsibility of government oversight, including that of the executive branch, through either the political process and elections, or through the judicial process and in the courts.

Given the ignorance of the law exhibited by Mr. Brandom, and consequently the OP, the thread premise is completely devoid of merit.

"Executive branch, EPA, IRS and Intel Agencies totally out of control."

Hyperbolic, baseless nonsense.
That's your standard answer, claim it's not true but never an argument to back it up. When it comes right down to it, you never really have much to contribute other than to claim someone is lying.

lol

This is as naïve as it is ignorant and delusional - moronic partisan tripe.

Trump would be clueless as to all aspects of the NSA.

Just the facts.....
Of which there none concerning the thread premise.
Funny destroying harddrives of evidence is suddenly ok with libs......EPA ignoring the expressed wish of the peoples Congress passing law to reign in their overreach....Obama pen and phone illegalities......all of which you will of course be against once Trump gets in
