Kind of like having the FBI director go on camera and list absolutely every detail of treason and why it's a crime then saying "eh, but we aren't going to prosecute".
The clinton's have been criminals for years. They just don't get prosecuted. You think Trump will have that luxury?
No, they haven't. Not really. If they had been they could have nailed her for many reasons. comey most recently listed out all of her felonious crimes, then declared he wouldn't recommend a prosecution. There is a USN sailor sitting in prison for doing less than she did so your assertion is simply ridiculous.

BTW, FBI Directors do not prosecute crimes. They gather evidence and give it to the AG office.

The investigation of the FBI had been over for two weeks prior to that meeting on the tarmac....it was announced in the news two weeks prior that the Clinton investigation was over and they would be announcing their rsult shortly, Comey announced the result within a couple of days the same week that she met him...
and may I remind you that Lynch was NOT the investigator on the case, nor was she the prosecutor in charge of the case, she was the prosecutor's ultimate boss, yes.....just like say a Rep Nunes who heads the House investigation on Russia, reports to Ryan....speaker of the House.
And at the point Bill met her, there was no reason for the talk not to be about something other than Bill's grand children....she could have told him the results of the investigation, SINCE IT WAS ALREADY OVER and there is no reason why the person being investigated should not have been given the results of the investigation before it was being announced to the Public....I would expect any person who was under investigation to be told BEFORE it is told to the public....wouldn't you?
So, even if they talked about the results of the Hillary investigation, there was absolutely NOTHING truly wrong with that, imho.
Though that is not what happened, but I am just saying, even if it did.
Cuz the investigation had already come to an end 2 weeks earlier...

A Department of Justice (DOJ) official told The New York Times that Lynch will announce Friday plans to accept whatever recommendation career prosecutors and the FBI make regarding charges related to the server. The department had allegedly been moving toward that arrangement for months, but Lynch’s sit-down with the former president apparently sealed the deal.
The 30-minute meeting on the tarmac at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport aroused further suspicion about the political pressures weighing on the DOJ.
While Lynch said the meeting was purely social, critics are using it as evidence of bias. Fellow Democrats such as Sen. Chris Coons (Del.) questioned Lynch’s judgment, as did outside observers.
“I’d go as far as to say [it was] a bonehead thing to do,” said Matthew Orwig, a former U.S. attorney now at Jones Day in Texas.
“I don’t think that it indicates that there’s a lack of ethical compliance there,” he added. “However, it’s fair for people to question it, and it’s fair for people to want to ask for more details.”
The federal investigation connected to Clinton, which was launched by inspector general referrals last July, is examining whether Clinton’s use of a private email address and server while she led the State Department amounted to criminal mishandling of classified information. The Justice Department has remained tight-lipped about the probe, but the protracted length suggests that investigators and prosecutors are taking it seriously.
Lynch, who would be involved with overseeing prosecutorial decisions, has maintained that the inquiry is free of political meddling and being handled by career professionals...
