We began the second Trump regieme with the strongest and largest GDP on earth. We had low unemployment and falling interest rates.
We were pointed to own the future.
Then Trump threw everything in reverse.
Trump’s idiotic tarrifs will hit agriculture hardest, as they did the last time.
Wall Street is not going to put its money on the industries of the past. There are two reasons. Unlike that 1880’s, steel, autos, mining etc. Are low margin, capital intensive industries. And, when the viability of those industries rests solely on the price subsidy they get from hiding behind tarrifs, they’re even more unattractive as an investment.
