"Doe’s hopes were soon dashed when, after another consultation with Emory staffers, a social worker informed her that she couldn’t be added to the transplant program’s “active waiting list” until she took the vaccine.

....

That’s despite the fact that on April 11, President Joe Biden declared the national emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic to be officially over."

Absurdities are coming to the surface.

Better to give a kidney to someone who listens to their doctors.

Doctors consider the sacrifice of the donor in transplant cases. This woman does not respect the sacrifice enough to get a simple shot. No sympathy.

Come on when playing Russian Roulette just man up and pull the trigger. "Only a small minority are injured, better than getting covid, even though it doesn't stop infection, doesn't stop transmission, oh wait..."

That immunity fades, especially in chronically ill individuals.

The best immunity is having vaccines boost the immune response.

Which is fine except when those vaccines must be taken forever. I have ZERO interest in someone injecting me with something every few months. I believe any risk is at best equal.
