In the latest shock for the GOP, which in recent weeks some have speculated is willing to scuttle the entire republican presidential campaign if it means not having Trump as the candidate, according to a just released Reuters poll, one third of Republican voters who support Donald Trump could turn their backs on their party in November's presidential election if he is denied the nomination in a contested convention. Or, as The Hill puts it, "blocking Donald Trump from the Republican presidential nomination with a contested convention would spell disaster for the GOP" because instead Trump supporters would vote Democrat,...( I seriously doubt they'd vote for a Communist, BUT as we have seen in here, some would certainly NOT VOTE, giving the DemoRAT effectively another vote!}

Yo, a Forbes article described the site as a source of hysteria and occasionally misleading information? Vig?

The GOP is fucked with Trump as the nominee and they are fucked if they deny him the nomination. Oh well.

I've been reading ZERO HEDGE for years and find few misquoted facts. Forbes might disagree!

Scenario 1: Trump reaches the convention with 50%+1 delegates and is the nominee.
Scenario 2: Trump reaches the convention without those numbers and is not the nominee.
In neither case is Trump "denied" the nomination.
The OP is blowing smoke out his ass.

You morons really do make me laugh, I didn't make it my opinion, it's an ARTICLE that you can either agree or disagree with, or wipe your ass with, I post what seems to be of interest to many and let the cow chips fly!

According to the MSM, even though Trump lost Wisconsin exit polling there showed that 55% believed whoever gets the most delegates should receive nomination whether of not their number of delegates meets the party's minimum number. Think all this talk about a contested convention is just the media hyping a story.

Attention: It doesn't matter what most people think. The rules are the rules. Any candidate without a majority of delegates will not be the nominee. Period.

Except they could and probably will change the rules whenever and however they like. Like they did in Colorado to stiff the voters and steal some delegates for Lyin' Ted.

After the '76 primaries Gerry Ford didn't have majority either, how'd that turn out?

Of course you're right about that, but good luck convincing the crazies who support him. Facts haven't mattered to the right wing for quite a while. All that has really mattered is the latest manufactured outrage their leaders stirred them up over. Now they are stirred up over their belief that Trump is being screwed.

He and Reagan battled in the convention and eventually Ford, the sitting president, prevailed to win the nomination.
That's how.
And that's relevant here because?

Trump isnt the right wing. Trump is a liberal masquerading as an outsider. Real conservatives support the only conservative candidate i the race. Which would be Sen Cruz.

Doesn't matter what Trump is. His supporters are right wing, and they will do everything possible to destroy the republican party.

He is an inside the beltway establishment candidate who will give the world a third term for GW.

Or do you consider the Bush family uber conservative? How about being completely supported by Wall Street?

He's establishment all the way.
