"Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Monday he would not be involved in a what he called a “manufactured circus” over a possible indictment of former President Donald Trump by a New York prosecutor over allegations that Trump paid hush money to a porn actress before he was elected in 2016. “I don’t know what goes into paying hush money to a porn star to secure silence over some type of alleged affair. I just I can’t speak to that,’’ DeSantis told reporters at a news conference."

So this guy is going to take that little cheap shot at Trump -- not even say his name -- not even stand up for America and pledge to block any and all attempts to allow New York to prosecute Trump? He is the governor of Florida, he can consider this prosecution to be "woke" and ban it from his state....why won't he?

This guy told us the justice system is weaponized against white Christian patriots; he rightfully said Soros approximately 26 times -- which is proof that this prosecution is an attack by Jewish globalists -- and when it's time for him to do something and fight back, he does nothing? This is really going to hurt him with MAGA Republicans for the next 5 minutes or so -- the only way he can turn things around is to announce something like banning the discussion of periods in Florida schools or something else anti-woke like that...at the end of the day, every transgression can be forgiven if you reassure your base you still hate the same people they hate.

No republican candidate will win if they fail to defend Trump against this corrupted legal system....
So you agree that DeSantis should ban NY from trying to extradite Trump if Trump simply refuses to turn himself in..

But what if DeSantis just says George Soros like 200 more times...isn't that good enough?

Trump said he will comply... I'm sure Trump see's this as a campaign donation from Bragg.....

In fairness, if Trump saw Ron as an opponent he wouldn't offer much in support either.

That's the drawback to Trumps uber-aggressive, take-no-prisoners, win-at-all-costs style. I'm not sure it will work for DeSantis, but it seems he is fighting fire with fire.

Quite frankly I'm looking forward to any contest between DeSantis and Trump as I think they are both fantastic candidates. Yes; Ron was a bit cheeky but anyone really think Trump won't just steamroll over it?

As yet I haven't seen any POLICIES from Ron so can't comment on that side of things but I expect him to be basically Trumpish in that regard...a very good thing.

We KNOW Trump is the real deal; DeSantis is yet to earn his stripes though so far he's been fantastic. How will he go when the Dems go full Hillary on him?? I think very well but time will tell.

The GOP have such riches.

Rats leaving a sinking ship...?

Well, it's good practice for De Santis, who will have to learn to dance the fine line he'll need to dance.

Avoid pissing off the needy orange Boi King and his obedient followers while not looking like MTG to the rest of the voters.

Tough shit.
Fine line?? I want him to go full D12!!!!

It's strange...

You would think if simply being indicted practically guarantees that Trump will win future elections in a landslide -- why was he whining and complaining about being investigated?

I mean if being indicted are such gifts to presidential candidates, shouldn't you folks be urging for more indictments?

Why demonize people like Fani Willis or Jack Smith when being indicted is such a winning strategy for presidential candidates?

Maybe that is why Republicans chose to not indict Hunter's laptop -- because of how much it would have helped Biden

DeSanto will watch it play out. He can only laugh at Trump like the rest of the world.

"Previous reports have indicated that a Manhattan grand jury will hand District Attorney Alvin Bragg an indictment related to the former president's part in paying hush money to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 election"

"Attorneys for the former president have indicated that he would willingly turn himself in for finger-printing and an arraignment, but there are worries the unpredictable Trump would balk at being processed, with the New York Times' Maggie Haberman reporting that Trump is "very anxious" about what he would have to go through"

"Should that be the case, Bragg will have to ask Florida to extradite Trump to New York, and DeSantis -- presumed to be the former president's chief rival for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination -- would need to sign off on it"

and not a single Trumper has explained to me that if Trump was claiming he was being extorted by Stormy....why would he pay off the extortionist?

He could have simply called her bluff....surely Melania would trust her husband over what some pornstar says....right??
