What an insane level of self-ownage and people actually WATCH these news programs. This was put forward on a panel as legitimate discourse.

LIbtard: "Listen if people don't have all their food paid for by the government, then the places they are spending their own cash, like beauty salons, won't be able to hire as many eyebrow and lash technicians!"

I mean seriously... did the next panelist complain that casinos aren't going to have as big a quarter? This is absurd!

Dude, it's a representative example of a luxury service people can't afford anymore.

Could have been a movie theater or a car wash.

This is, BTW, one of the ways every SNAP dollar spent creates something like $1.80 in economic activity.

You get to double count the activity because somehow the government dollar taken from another person isn't subtracted from their spending potential?

"Luxury service people can't afford anymore...."

Because you taxed the working and wealthy to give to the poor so they can get their eyebrows done.

Here is your math....

We tax a dollar away from Mark. That is never subtracted.

We give that dollar to Shauna minus a small bit of over head for all the government transferring it.

Shauna spends that money on food via EBT/SNAP.

Shauna then has her own dollar to spend on her eyebrows.

Thus $1.80 in economic activity is generated.

What happened to subtracting the dollar you took away from Mark? Mark was going to INVEST that dollar that became taxes.

Check your math. Government only redistributes, it does not invest.

If we spend another $10 trillion on SNAP next year, we'll have a budget surplus
and 25% GDP growth, right?

Yabut, we're feeding 42 million people and getting no productivity for the money. Worse, they likely eat more than working people.
