that have led to giving Dakota Access "permission" to transport crude across the Missouri River.
Keep in mind..feds determine who gets to extract resources from the land. If any one of the private property owners along the Missouri decided to drill or move anything via pipeline across the river, under the river, or through the river, the feds would be all over them. Farmers aren't allowed to build structures near the water...ranchers aren't allowed to let their cows near the banks.
But Dakota Access has special permission, and so now the pigs are there to cart off all the people who dare to stand and say THIS IS BULLSHIT. The feds have no business dictating land use policy. All they do is take control from the local people and sell access and resources to the highest bidders, and imprison any of the local people who want to use the land as they see fit.
