They Said Biden Wouldn’t Come for Our Guns. The Plan Says Otherwise.

What was it you said?

Real life is the intersection of your rights and my rights and no right is absolute.

Because there's no intersection of rights here on this subject. My constitutional right to bear arms is not infringing upon your rights at all in the slightest.

Like banning and confiscation? Wouldn't that accomplish your goal of eliminating gun violence and gun accidents?
That would eliminate gun violence and accidents but those are not my goals. I want to lessen the amount of violence, I have no illusions about eliminating it completely.

So can I assume you have looked at the gun violence rates for say the last 10 years or so?

My inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
How am I preventing that? It's not like I'm aborting your life in the womb, right? I own and possess arms as per the 2nd Amendment. I'm a peaceable citizen.

Mindless nonsense.
You cannot demonstrate how the exercise of the right to keep and bear arms in any way intersects with, much less violates, your right to life, liberty or property.
I accept your avoidance, and thus concession, of the point, in advance.

what about them
What about them? You claim your goal is to reduce the rate of gun violence and gun accidents, right?

How do you know they aren't declining already? To be honest, I think you are shooting from the hip like you usually do. You've never put any real thought or effort into anything you believe. You just accept it blindly because it feels good. You probably don't even know what the present rates are or even what rate is acceptable to you.

I'm not happy when read about school shooting and other gun violence, including suicides.
Me either. Or deaths from car accidents or overdoses or botched surgeries. So what? You do realize no one is getting out of here alive, right? The right to bear arms is a constitutional right. I'd rather not have my right infringed upon because some moron committed a bad act and you felt bad about it.

Well the goal would be no gun violence, accidents, or suicides. Not possible to achieve but a worthy goal nonetheless.

So you see gun registration as an infringement, true enough. If it could be shown to save a million lives would you accept it as a minor infringement but worth those million lives? How about 50,000? 10,000? 100? 1? Where do you draw the line?

Like there was a question.
If it could be shown to save a million lives would you accept it as a minor infringement but worth those million lives?
The protections afforded to the right to keep and bear arms by the 2nd are not subject to means-end tests.

Great, when do the confiscations begin. Because otherwise, you're pissing in the wind.

It's not going to do anything at all except cause paperwork and generate fees.

So having fewer deaths from guns is not a goal. Having no deaths through confiscation is the only option? Americans disagree.
