Lying to his audience is not what ABC wants... and that's what he did at a very sensitive time... the FCC had zero to do with that... you are just use to the last administrations tactics and so you pin that on this one... Cruz has already said he may have spoken too soon....
Sinclair pushed ABC and Disney so call them...they are still going to prement his show...

Yeah.... That will also backfireYes, because there are now campaigns to boycott local businesses that advertise on Sinclair.
So, Nuthin'. Got it.Still working on that reading comprehension, eh? Perhaps if you elevated your vocabulary above vulgar juvenile insults such as "douchebag."
Correct. How many times do we get "links" to DailyKOS, rawstory and other Leftwing septic tanks? It’s called media reports
**** this link shit anyway as libs lie all the time. In this case you are lazy and media outlets are referencing his guests tonight
He's homo? Didn't know ...The homo's audience was increasingly more college students. The demographic with no money. Money talked.
Poor Ms. Jones. She be like, "I spend all my time scouring the rawstory tabloid for my cutting and pasting".‘Disney announced on Monday that it screwed up when it suspended late-night ABC host Jimmy Kimmel "indefinitely." It isn't a shocking announcement, Dylan Byers from Puck News told MSNBC after the news was announced. "They were telegraphing this," he said.
Deadline executive editor Dominic Patten said that Disney was already at work 24 hours after the announcement, trying to figure out how to walk back their actions. The company has lost 2.31% in market value over the past five days, at a time when the Dow Jones is up at least 1%, wrote data analyst G. Elliott Morris.
John Oliver spoke out about the matter on his Sunday show, while issuing the warning, “Giving the bully your lunch money doesn’t make him go away, he just comes back hungrier each time.”
"The strangeness of the current moment lies in how the administration is consolidating authoritarian power while also being extremely weak," noted legal analyst Quinta Jurecic. "This was a huge push, and they failed. Elite decadence (Disney) vs. popular anti-authoritarian vitality (Disney adults). "'The protests and boycotts worked! HELL YEAH!" exclaimed commentator and influencer Ed Krassenstein.’

'They failed': Trump ridiculed for failing to take down Jimmy Kimmel

The capitulation likely has more to do with the loss of market value than protests and boycotts.
And the authoritarian Trump regime is more incompetent than weak.
Last, it would be a mistake to believe this is over.
In context? Absolutely. Can he rant and rave and cuss and use the f word and c word every two second in a monologue? No. It's called common sense. He is a comedian. He makes observations. One of the most critical things I've noticed with the extreme right wing (and Kirk/Bannon etc definitely fall into this category), is that they have thin skins. They hate dissent. They have no sense of humour. They can't take a joke. Trump is the epitome of this. Back in the day, during his first term, on these boards, my name for him was Trumplethinskin. There's a reason for that.Really? Are you saying he has a right to say anything he wants on the public airwaves, regardless of what the network and their affiliate owners think?

Nah. Disney learned the lesson. Sinclair are about to.Kimmel should have learned a lesson, I'm doubtful he has

Meh. Some jokes do (contain a thread or truth). You know, I have noticed that the right are quick to attribute blame on the left all the time. They're as bad as each other IMO. He didn't deserve to be cancelled for his comments. I'm still trying to figure out how Kirk's body got a ride on Air Force 2 and flags at half mast. I've done extensive research and have yet to find him being a serving or ex politician, ditto for the military. Finding it all very baffling. You seem to be forgetting one thing, a joke usually contains some grain of truth to it, all he did was lie. By the time that show aired the motive behind the killers actions were pretty clear. And it wasn't MAGA fanaticism.

I agree with you about him not deserving to be killed. I found him very condescending, and in a lot of cases, misinformed. I know that Trump liked him, doesn't mean he gets those honours. No, he was just a Christian and political activist that tried to bring civil dialog to places where dissenting opinions were being suppressed. Were his opinions always popular, nope, but he didn't deserve to be killed for them. The woke crowd were the folks demonizing him because he stood for his God, family and country. And Trump credits him for helping swing the election his way.
