Taxes are supposed to be the most fair, based on ability to pay.
The idea being those who are profiting from the system the most, should then pay the most.
The poor being forced to live further aways from jobs, goods, etc., are not the ones profiting from subways.
They are the ones being forced to spend more time to get to the meager opportunities they are allowed.
It is the wealthy who are profiting from the high rent urban centers and are the ones forcing the poor into more distant ghettos.
Payment for infrastructure should be progressive, where those profiting from it should pay for it.
And the people profiting from subways are those who own the central real estate that the poor have to take the subway in to get to.
The ones forced to travel are not the ones profiting from it.
They should be paid for their forced travel time, not forced to pay a fare as if the subway ride is some sort of privilege.

I agree with you on one point big business should be paying their fair share of the taxes and there should be cheaper for the working poor
But I don't believe anybody should have a free ride. I live in Omaha they only have buses, they're working on putting in a streetcar system, it's supposed to be free. Let's see how long that lasts.

No, taxes are much higher than they should be, because of wealthy imperialists wanted an expensive military that suppresses freedom all over the world.

The point is taxes are UNFAIR.
They are paid much more by the poor than they should be.
For example, renters should be able to write off rent on their taxes, since it is a legitimate cost of doing business.
As soon as I could, I became a landlord because you get so many great tax breaks, it cut my taxes down to almost nothing.

And building orphanages and school in other countries is a terrible idea.
They are going to "westernize" instead of help.
Local social structure should deal with them instead, and we should just stop stealing resources from those countries, so they could afford to take care of their own.
