With respect to the GOP’s budget bill – the one they habitually call big and beautiful – there are a few things worth bearing in mind, because they are always true when it comes to the Republicans and money.

・They always say tax cuts pay for themselves. They don’t.

・They always say they care about debt and deficits. They don’t.

・They always say they care about budgets in general. They don’t.

・They always say they are cutting taxes for everyone. Not really.

Again these are always true. These are the baseline of all discussion of budgets and taxation under Republican administrations. And because these are always true, the real story is how the Republicans are going to rationalize doing what they want to do without revealing the truth.

And they always pass them in the middle of the night. You know, because it's so legitimate and everything.

Democrats say the same thing.

Not 100%? OK.

What percentage?

The welfare state is a ponzi scheme and will doom the nation to insolvency.
Neither party wants to be the ones to level with the American People. The
politicians have been playing a game that is a mix of kick the can and musical chairs.

The endgame for congressmen and senators is to enjoy power and wealth and retire and die before the music stops and the
nation implodies under its debt.

If Republicans didn't lie, they'd have NOTHING to say!

But there’s more going on than merely lying in order for the very obscenely rich to get away without paying their fair share.

The Republicans are going to steal.

This is not an exaggeration. The Republicans are going to take money from you – in the form of cash and benefits – and give it to someone who did not truly earn that money, and who is not truly deserving of it, since they already have as much as any human being will ever need.

If the Democrats were in charge, and they wanted to take some money from the rich and give it to people for groceries (SNAP, otherwise known as food stamps), we know what the Republicans would call it.”

And here’s another Republican lie: tax cuts for the rich will ‘trickle down’ to average people in the form of jobs and infrastructure investment – they don’t; again, that’s a lie.

Republicans have contempt for sound, responsible governance.

When I have more money in my pocket I spend more and put more into the economy. Which impacts every economic bracket.

Those in middle and lower income usually do. They finally have enough to get what they have been needing and some of what they want. The rich already have enough money to buy what they need and want. More money just goes in the bank with the rest of their disposable income. Trickle down doesn't work. It has never worked.

The "Rich" do buy some stuff, maintain some stuff. They have disposable income.

You all ran govt for the past four years and left a majority of the country worse off

2nd thread today with the exact same opening premise and narrative.

Can't you shitlib buttpipes be bothered to scroll down just a teensy-weensy bit when creating this digital bilge?

When money is in a bank the bank uses it to give loans to people

They already have much disposable income. No need for them to go on a buying spree like poor folks do when they get a few extra bucks.

Banks don't reduce requirements for a loan just because they have more money. If you can't get a loan before money is given to rich people, you won't get one after.

Were you sick the day they taught what happens to bank deposits in school?

The money does not sit in a big Scrooge McDuck vault.

An economy is helped by spending and also by investment.

What money is given to rich people?

Agreed that if you don’t qualify for a loan due to your horrible credit you aren’t going to get one.

This article speaks truths that these MAGATS don't want to hear. Like this one:

"Their proposal would quite literally make those struggling to get by worse off while making the richest Americans richer. It isn’t some shared sacrifice where everyone has to tighten their belts to work on the deficit. Instead, it’s making working-class people tighten their belts so the richest can loosen theirs."

As long as they see non whites getting abused, they don't care that white men are robbing them blind. It's just like Lyndon Johnson said.

"If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

And these poor, uneducated MAGAT are emptying their pockets and bank accounts for Donald Trump because he does exactly that.
