Of corse there is also a number of other reasons. Expansion being the main one. A competitor starting up. At the moment there are more job openings then people willing to fill them.1. Most employers prefer to hire from the inside or from a employee referrral
2. In order for a position to become available someone has to QUIT, GET FIRED, RETIRE, or GET PROMOTED
I don't see how either of those are reasons to extend unemployment insurance. Please explain.1. Most employers prefer to hire from the inside or from a employee referrral

when unemployment goes below 4%, the presumption is that everyone who wants a job has one...or is being unrealistic.
Unemployment is a form of INSURANCE. You pay a premium and if the indemnified event occurs, you collect. the six month cap is based on the premiums paid. Anything over that is pure "welfare."
Employment is at the will of either party; you should qualify for unemployment simply for being unemployed in our at-will employment States.1. Most employers prefer to hire from the inside or from a employee referrral

Capitalism has a natural rate of unemployment. Labor as the least wealthy should not have to shoulder that burden. Corporations get to deduct the cost of Labor.Employment is at the will of either party; you should qualify for unemployment simply for being unemployed in our at-will employment States.1. So what’s the negotiating order of those wants? Which will you give up first, next, and so on as the hunger worsens, cable’s long gone, 8 bucks for a peach pie...I don't see how either of those are reasons to extend unemployment insurance. Because you may take you until the 4th month to get a interview. When job searching you must apply to the right jobs like in my case I want a job that is
9 to 5
Holidays and weekends
No travel
Office environment
No more than a 45 min commute.
So that may take a while to find but that's what I want and it's important to get the right job.

Because you might want to change the field you are working in if you are having a hard time obtaining a job.
I never went more than three days without work and that was because I did not want to work.

Agreed.
The only time I've ever been out of a job is because I wanted to be.
I collected unemployment one time when I was laid off right before Christmas and I said F it I'm not looking for a job during the holidays so I took a month off.

Well no one is hiring during the holidays so only a brand new fool would look for a job around that time
