“Courts around the country have held that individuals cannot be sued for calling out the views of others as racist, fascist, homophobic, radical, or sexist. As we and the Center for Constitutional Rights explained in a friend-of-the-court brief we submitted last week in support of SPLC, such statements of opinion criticizing hateful or bigoted views lie at the core of First Amendment protection. They enable us to express ourselves (including our disgust), they animate our political discussion, and they offer us a tool to persuade others. For debate on political issues to flourish, we must be able to express our views about the prejudices of others without fearing that a defamation lawsuit could arise from our words.”

Americans are at liberty to state the fact that Musk is a fascist and racist, free from threats of lawsuits.

You can say it, for sure that is protected free speech. But, let's be clear, just because you say it, doesn't make it "fact".... And, when that morphs into attacks on him, or innocent people selling, or driving the cars one of his companies make, then not only is it defamation, but if anyone is hurt, it's worse.

If that person cannot be shown to be a member of a Nazi organization, the person using that term can be held accountable for slander or libel if it is written. The ACLU will be eating their words if Musk takes it to trial. In this day in age where awards in the billions of $$$ are given for stating an opinion, those using these slanderous terms better watch their backs.

There is also the right to call those who do so ignorant, brainless simple minded morons who are totally clueless about the history of the Nazis/Hitler or any other dictator they compare those they don’t like to. Always remember what’s good for the Republican goose is good for the Democrat gander.

It's assault. Also illegal.

Arrest them, yes.
I get it, you know it's illegal what they're doing...I agree, arrest them...

But the bigger picture is what the narrative today is doing to the weak minded in this country...Somewhere in twisted logic, these people think this sort of thing is acceptable....

Don't you think the rhetoric on the left should be toned down?
