Hillary said it was her responsibility and so did Obama but they both denied responsibility. President Hussein watched the 7 hour drama unfold in real time and didn't lift a finger. The obscure you-tube video had nothing to do with the murders of the US ambassador and two veteran Navy Seals but the Hussein administration floated the lie for a month. Now the left whines about Fox.

It's not the first time. And basically every time this stuff comes to light, a new set of protocols are enacted and generally they lessen the footprint of our intelligence. It's not all hard and fast..and the CIA has been pretty active of late. George W. Bush pretty much screwed the pooch with them, but Obama seems to work well with them.

But this might break that.

Deflection isn't really helping your case..and this thread isn't about individuals..it's about policy and strategy.

George W. Bush wasn't keen on the CIA. They were basically there to reinforce his world view and beat the shit out of people. Bush wanted conventional wars.

Obama's a bit different. He's trying to draw down the wars and give the CIA more to do. It basically started with the offing of the pirates and kept up with the drone attacks, stuxnet and dozens of other operations we hear and don't hear about..including the killing of Osama Bin Laden. Personally? I think the CIA stuff is better, but it's not nearly as "satisfying" to the American public and there are ALOT of pitfalls.

But "outing" them, by Presidents..is pretty new. That's something that essentially started with George W. Bush. Which is sort of surprising given that his father was extremely against that..so much so..he pushed through a law making it illegal.

It seems as if Republicans are following in his footsteps. Because if they continue..that's what is going to happen.
