There have been 142 school shootings in the U.S. since 20 children and six adults were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. on Dec. 14, 2012. Incidents were classified as school shootings when a firearm was discharged inside a school building or on campus, as documented in news accounts. Incidents in which guns were brought into schools but not fired, or were fired off school grounds after having been possessed in schools, were not included.

• Incidents unconnected to members of school community and/or that took place outside school hours: 16 instances

• Suicides: 6 instances

• Accidental discharges: 3 instances

The higher number is criminals but the left won't do anything about it.

Guns are good for our children. They teach them how to handle their frustrations and negative experiences. A child with a loaded gun is a child who will never have sand kicked into his face at the beach twice. It is enough to make a parent proud to see a 10 year old assemble his piece, blindfolded, within 60 seconds.
