There are young people left in this world that go the extra mile to get the job done.

In this case, and extra two miles on foot in the snow, to deliver a pizza.

And the police officer went the extra mile to make sure his work ethic was rewarded.

Commentary. When you find someone who goes the extra mile for you...doing more then the minimum effort that we have all gotten used to these days...make the extra effort to ensure that kind of service is recognized. We're all quick to complain...but when's the last time you talked to a manager or left a positive review about an employee who went above and beyond to satisfy your needs.

We should all do more of that.

The kid drove in hazardous icy conditions as far as he could, until a stranded bus blocked the entire roadway.

He walk a mile in six inches of snow to deliver the pizza. An officer that was tending to the bus couldn't believe a delivery driver was going on foot to complete the delivery. On the way back the officer enquired if the driver had received a big tip. It was revealed he has received two dollars...and knew that before embarking on foot.

The officer raised a $42,000 tip on Go Fund Me for this young man.

I agree with you and I am fortunate to live in an area where the young people have been raised by great parents to be exemplary citizens who help their neighbors with no expectation of reward. We are thankful for them. That being said, I saw the video of this guy delivering the pizza and while he is rightfully commended for his efforts, I wouldn't want to eat that pizza that he delivered--it was in pretty sad shape. LOL

I was amazed when I first got here, after living in Western Washington, where kids are raised in a real give-a-shit way, to go through a fierce wind storm and see, first thing the following morning, high schoolers out in theirs or their dads' pickup trucks, picking up fallen branches, to take out to the burn pile.

Same thing with a heavy snow, especially for the elderly folks in town.

He totally voted for Kamala.

I just want to know what kind of jackhole orders a pizza in a snow storm?
Some people might be sick, too old, or may not have a car and so delivery is what helps them out, but I get where you are coming from here. Getting someone else to do the errand in bad enough weather in my opinion is asking too much.

God bless you always!!!

Conceded, which is why the $2 tip really sucked. It was a very nice home, no money problem there, the least I would have offered would have been $10 for the herculean effort in getting there. Seriously, most pizza guys would not have even bothered working on a night like that much less plugged on a mile on foot when the road was closed.
