The little girl at the beginning put on a top acting performance. Them is one of my favorite movies along with a few other from that period and type. Balck Scorpion. The tarantula and the one with Grass Hoppers.

Clint Eastwood played a stupid lab technician in a moment of comic relief in the sequel to “Creature from the Black Lagoon”, “Revenge of the Creature”.

I saw Earth vs the Flying Saucers when we lived in Alexandria VA when I was about 8 or so, and it really hit me when I sat that one hit the monument. The stories had to rely on your own imagination for setting up the thrill, and it worked then, with some help from stop animation. The one that scared me most was The Thing From Another World, with James Arness as the bad ass. The suspense was built slowly and was wonderfully done with pretty good acting.

Watching War of the Worlds the other day I can see where they put that screaming kid in the Tom Cruz remake....That damn woman screamed through the whole thing too.

If you look close you might find Gene Barry, the star of the '53 W.O.W. movie in a cameo at the end of the Tom Cruse version.

I loved these movies as a kid growing up in the 70s. They ran as reruns on local Friday Night Horror Movies - here it was a show called "Sammy Terry" out of Indianapolis.
Yes that is dishwasher gloves he is wearing - the budget for his show was apparently $.50 a week. LOL

I can remember watching an old classic horror movie when I was a kid about a mans severed hand coming back to life and crawling up to people and choking them to death .. lol ! as corny as it sounds at the time I thought it was scary ..
