The Spanish national sporting side that’s British
A fight for funding is underway from the Spanish lawn bowls national team who, despite being based in Spain and belonging to the Spanish national federation, are all British expats.

Bob Donnelly the National Director of Spanish lawn bowling told BBC Radio 5 live Daily’s Adrian Chiles, that his team had their funding cut off a few years ago by the country's Sports Council because "they were not Spanish."

He said: "We've got no Spanish players at all, in the past we've tried to attract them. The same applies in England, it tends to be an older person’s sport."
