You might say there's a lot going on. Clearly by design. The end game and who it benefits, both foreign and domestic, is less certain.

Democracy is not strengthened by a concentration of power in the executive nor by enacting policies by fiat over the objection of the majority.

On the Expansion of Executive Power: An Overview

President Trump is pursuing an unprecedented expansion of executive power. Here are my observations on some of the legal and constitutional considerations. My intent is not to resolve these controversial questions, or even to identify all the underlying issues, but rather to raise just a few of the concerns that will have to be addressed as the Trump presidency unfolds.

International relations and the health of the economy are not served by erratic tariff announcements.

The collective affect being to weaken democracy, harm the environment, make a significant part of the populace less healthy, strain relations with allies and trading partners, and further divide the nation. All of which comes as a consequence of attempts to reshape the country to fit one man's view of how it should be. An unpopular view.

Oh no, it’s certain who benefits. The globalist elite always benefit.
"Global elitists" is an artificial construct of the Right created to give believers in it a target for their hatred and distrust. It also gives them an amorphous entity to blame for their failures and frustrations. Something they apparently need quite a bit.

The Federal Government should not fund "science." It should fund the collection and distribution of DATA, and let the private sector and universities/other determine what the data is telling us.

Global Warming is a case point. If we had JUST THE DATA, the CO2 FRAUD would never have gotten off the ground. Instead, we funded "climate scientists" to fudge that data and lie to us about a "crisis" that never existed. We are out $20 trillion for that. Only treasonous morons who hate America support funding "government science."

The OP is just such a treasonous moron. The OP cannot even answer basic climate questions...

1. Why does one Earth polar circle have 9+ times the ice of the other?
2. Why is there ice age glacier south of Arctic Circle on Greenland but no such ice age glacier north of Arctic Circle on Alaska?
3. If the oceans are "warming" why is the record decade for canes still the 1940s?
4. If the oceans are "rising" why can't we see one single photo of land sinking?
5. How did Co2 thaw North America and freeze Greenland at the same time?

Sounds like a conspiracy theory believed in by uneducated, misinformed nutbaggers. The data is what supports the scientific conclusions that climate change is happening.

Correct in this case the funds are creating the pseudoscience not following it or supporting real science. The best way to solve that problem?
Stop the funding.

Too bad there isn't any real data that supports it until it is incentivized by illicit government funding which tempts people to bend the figures and facts for profit rather than science.

Somewhere, deep in the recesses of your tiny, undeveloped brain, I'm sure you understand trump is cutting off funding for climate science because it makes a mockery of his policies that are harmful to the environment. All in the short sighted service of profit.

It's been a busy 4 months...... Literally more done in 4 months in the previous administration did in 4 years.... At this pace 4 years is going to be unbelievable.
At this pace the destruction will be irreversible.

For most countries that received President Trump’s letters last week threatening steep tariffs, especially the Asian nations with economies focused on supplying the United States, there are no obvious substitutes as a destination for their goods.

But they are doing their best to find them.

Business and political leaders around the world have been roundly baffled by the White House’s imposition of new duties, even as governments shuttled envoys back and forth to Washington offering new purchases and pledges of reform. Mr. Trump is erecting new trade barriers and demanding deep concessions by Aug. 1, claiming years of grievance because America buys more than it sells.

ā€œAcross the world, tools once used to generate growth are now wielded to pressure, isolate and contain,ā€ Anwar Ibrahim, the prime minister of Malaysia, said at a gathering of Southeast Asian leaders on Wednesday. ā€œAs we navigate external pressures, we need to fortify our foundations. Trade among ourselves. Invest more in one another.ā€

They say "the science is settled!", then demand more taxpayer loot to keep studying "the science".

That math certainly doesn't math.

The "majority" clearly spoke last November confirming who they want as president for the next 4-years.

Tariffs are generating serious revenue, not even looking at the benefits to US sales worldwide.

The US is the best market, nations can shop their wares elsewhere. Cuts to stupid research is cost-effective.

Not cutting stupid science projects would be disastrous to the budget.

If you don't want to be sent to Sudan, don't enter the US illegally.
There are no drastic cuts to the social safety net. Just removing those not entitled to benefits.

The US is better now than under senile Biden, better fiscally, better socially, better militarily, and healthier, MAHA.

Its not what Trump's rating is, its what the democrat's ratings are. No matter what Trump's ratings are the democrats' ratings are toxic, in the toilet, garbage, unelectable, etc. So good luck in 2026 and 2028 with your communist agenda.

No, but he accused immigrants of it.

1. When are executive orders valid and when are they invalid?

The ground rules are: First, the president can issue executive orders pursuant to a grant of authority from Congress. Second, executive orders are legitimate if they relate to the president’s role as commander-in-chief, or to his other core powers—especially in the areas of foreign policy and national security. Third, executive orders are valid when they deal with the internal workings of executive agencies. Beyond those three categories, executive orders affecting the rights and obligations of private parties may well be unconstitutional. They are not intended as a way for the executive branch to bypass Congress.

Justice Robert Jackson set out the constitutional framework in his concurring opinion in Youngstown Sheet & Tube v. Sawyer, the 1952 case that denied President Truman’s authority to seize the steel mills during the Korean War. Jackson offered this analysis: When the president acts pursuant to an express or implied authorization from Congress, ā€œhis authority is at its maximum.ā€ When the president acts in the absence of either a congressional grant or denial of authority, ā€œthere is a zone of twilight in which he and Congress may have concurrent authority.ā€ But when the president takes measures incompatible with the express or implied will of Congress, ā€œhis power is at its lowest.ā€

Ignoring that framework, Trump and his recent predecessors have unilaterally rewritten congressional enactments. Imagine if a future president were to annul environmental laws or financial regulations. Liberals would be up in arms. Or suppose a president alone implemented new regulations that Congress had considered and rejected. You’d expect conservatives to be on the warpath. Yet some observers believe that the Trump, Biden, and Obama presidencies overreached in both directions—ignoring existing laws and fashioning new ones.
