The Unspoken Threat

Chemical.
Biological.
Radiological.

Some spokesmen for Iran - nobody knows their exact levels of knowledge or influence - state that they have a surprise waiting for when we have the infamous "boots on the ground" in their fair country. Does anyone reading this believe that they would NOT use chemical, biological, or radiological weapons if they could? You know, like the infamous "WMD's" of the Iraq threat.

In a more general way, Muslims do not respect the limitations that civilized nations place upon themselves with respect to avoiding civilian casualties. They have demonstrated this time and time again in every theater of war.

Our collective reaction to this development would be massive and that might be a deterrent, but who knows?

The reason Iran is a "young country" is because many of their grandfathers were wasted in human wave attacks against Iran ordered by the Mullahs.

Human wave attacks were prominently used by Iran during the Iran-Iraq War (1980–1988), particularly in operations like Operation Ramadan near Basra in 1982, one of the largest land battles since World War II. Iran faced significant technological and logistical disadvantages compared to Iraq, which had better-trained troops, mechanized units, and fortified positions. To compensate, Iran relied on mass infantry assaults, often involving tens of thousands of Revolutionary Guards and Basij volunteers.
