The Trump tax cuts are set to expire, even NPR admits that means higher taxes for all taxpayers, not just wealthy ones.

NPR used to be the place where you could hear liberals who were mostly book smart even though they were wrong in their conclusions. Lately, it is mostly anti-Israel diatribes, but once in a while they run a story in which they are somewhat honest about the facts. This is one of them:

Trump wins, his cuts will be extended. Harris wins and they are allowed to die and replaced by higher taxes for all.

If you love government more than you love your family's financial security, Harris is your woman - if you know what one is.

The 35 trillion in debt does need paid for.

Why didn't Biden-Harris push for higher taxes and reduced government waste then?

Useless programs like free housing and health care for Illegals, free tampons for high school boys, and free narcan and needles for the nation's Junkies could easily be eliminated.

Like those who came before them they failed. Simple as that. I'm not sure why you think I should answer for them.

And that might cover .0000006% or something.

President Trump's plan to deal with the Bidenistas' fiscal problems is to grow the economy, particularly the energy sector.

That's the only way the debt will be paid is by growth.

Not only does Harris intend to allow the Trump tax reforms expire but has in mind a host of new taxes on top of the significant financial pain inflicted by letting those tax reforms expire. For instance she wants to tax unrealized capital gains. There is a good day in the market and your mutual funds or whatever earn a few hundred dollars. She wants to tax them immediately. It is rumored that applies even to the earnings in our IRAs and 401ks that are supposed to be sheltered except for the annual mandatory distribution. And I'm sure we won't get money back after we're taxed on a fund that loses hundreds or thousands in a major market crash like we've had the last several days.

But the neoMarxist minded don't really believe your earnings are yours anyway. They belong to us all or more specifically the government who then allows us to have whatever they want us to have.

All of the above is you babbling about nothing you know.

Nahhh, tax cuts in the middle or less class are more likely to be saved by Democrats....hide and watch. They just won't save the tax cuts on those category classes above that level....that the Republican wealthy, insist on.

No, massive pumping continued.
Yes, 2017's 3.32 Trillion increased to 3.33 Trillion in 2018, and to 3.46 Trillion in 2019.

When have Democrats ever done that?

I remember Bill Clinton running on a tax cut for the middle class.

Instead, he did this:

Asking American to 'Face Facts,' Clinton Presents Plan to Raise Taxes, Cut Deficit
By Ruth Marcus and Ann Devroy

President Clinton yesterday presented a four-year blueprint for reinvigorating the American economy, pairing one of the largest tax increases in history with significant deficit reductions, new government spending to create jobs and a promise of fairness for the middle class.

Clinton introduced his long-awaited economic plan to Congress and the American people in an hour-long State of the Union Address that also promoted a grab bag of other proposals – from health care to gun control to campaign finance reform – as part of his vision of "a new direction" for the nation.

"This economic plan can't please everybody," Clinton said at the end of his address when he returned to what aides had said would be virtually its only focus. "If the package is picked apart, there'll be something that will anger each of us and won't please anybody. But, if it is taken as a whole it will help all of us."

He urged Congress and the nation to resist "the temptation to focus only on a particular spending cut you don't like or some particular investment that wasn't made – and nobody likes the tax increases – but let's just face facts. For 20 years through administrations of both parties, incomes have stalled and debt has exploded and productivity has not grown as it should. We cannot deny the reality of our condition. We have got to play the hand we were dealt and play it as best we can."

The package features a four-year, $493 billion plan evenly divided between tax increases and spending cuts, including a freeze on the pay of federal workers next year and lower raises than scheduled in the following years.

Just like he knew, and all conservatives knew he would. Only his voters believed him.

Then Hillary used the same tired tactic in 2016, and Democratic voters dutifully fell for it.
