The Trump Brain Drain Has Begun

Your parroting fails. Scientific medical expertise is not dogma.

You hiding behind it is. Most doctors I know are not in complete alignment with the claims of the heads of their communities. In fact, some of them totally oppose their claims.

But that is why I only go to doctors who talk with me about the care I get or the recommendations I receive.

You, openly accepting them only makes you look the sycophant that you are.

If you are unable to post a statement that isn't loaded with fallacies, so be it.

So far, you've demonstrated that such is all your are capable of.
Your impotence in citing any such "fallacies" is blatantly apparent.

I just did. I can't help that you have an aversion to a POV that is opposed to yours and consequently selectively ignore it.

I do defer to the consensus of scientific expertise in medical disciplines, as I note the inability of deniers to cite comparable medical authority.

Again, the following are among the many medical associations that recognize and have issued statements in support of health care for transgender people and youth:

American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

American Academy of Pediatrics

American Medical Association

American Nurses Association

American College of Physicians

American Counseling Association

American Psychiatric Association

American Psychological Association

Federation of Pediatric Organizations

The Journal of the American Medical Association

National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health

National Association of Social Workers

Texas Medical Association

Texas Pediatric Society

World Health Organization (WHO)

World Medical Association

Yes, I get that you'll hide behind something that is openly political in nature. I can't argue that they've made their statements. I also can't argue that you accept them at face value as something that justifies your transitioning from something you can't perform at to something grotesque.

However, I apply my own experience in talking with those I know in the medical field who help me to know how to filter this kind of garbage.

Enjoy yourself in whatever operations you chose to have.

As opposed to the left wing/Biden/Harris policy of no policy (other than sending morons like AOC to the border)?
I have no idea what that means. :dunno:

Trump is running the most corrupt administration in US history.

Pervasive anti-intellectualism is now savaging precisely what facilitated the nation's rise to greatness since WWII.

And you are classic example.

It used to be that those who studied neuroscience accepted it as an article of basic understanding that the brain stopped developing at 20.

An AI summary:

Yes, historically, many in the field of neuroscience did believe that brain development was largely complete by the age of 20. However, recent research has revealed that the brain continues to undergo significant changes and maturation beyond that age, particularly in areas like the frontal lobes responsible for executive functions like planning and decision-making.

One of my children's sixth grade teacher spoke at length about new research and I started following some of it.

Turns out those who work with stroke victims turned the entire thinking on top of itself. New tools allowed them to show that this believe was incorrect.

Keep deferring...moron.

Contempt for equality, inclusivity, humanitarian programs, public service, higher education, science, medicine, the free press, the arts, and the U.S. Constitution will now result in a reverse migration. Not as cataclysmic as nuclear physicists' stampeding to the U.S. to escape the rising fanaticism in Europe in the 1930s, but, quite likely, the imminent expatriation will be every bit as corrosive over the coming years.

America was great when it attracted the best and the brightest. Now, it repels them.

Some like it that way, of course.

A French university courting U.S.-based academics said it has already received nearly 300 applications for researchers seeking "refugee status" amid President Trump's elimination of funding for several scientific programs.
Last month, Aix-Marseille University, one of the country's oldest and largest universities, announced it was accepting applications for its Safe Place For Science program, which it said offers "a safe and stimulating environment for scientists wishing to pursue their research in complete freedom."
This week, Aix-Marseille said it had received 298 applications, and 242 of them are eligible and currently up for review. Of the eligible applicants, 135 are American...

And, of course, the U.S. is becoming a place that the best and brightest from elsewhere will no longer want to contribute to.

Is the self-inflicted, inbred decline inexorable?

BTW: Is anyone tracking these "best and brightest" (I didn't go for an advanced degree based on the lack of quality work I saw working for some of them as an undergraduate) to see how they fare.

Is there another explanation for their desire to leave? If so, does that somehow negate the fundamental premise of the OP.

Nothing to show they are not leaving because they simply can't get accepted to programs here (that was presented anyway). Making it an incomplete argument.

Flushed.

Or it will bring America back down to earth, get our feet back on solid ground.

America was great when it attracted the best and the brightest.

Ah....so America WAS great.

Now she's not?

Didn't someone else say that already? Even made hats that got people beat up.

Me, I don't accept that concept because nobody can tell me what made America great back then that we've lost.

NPR is running programs telling parents how to play with their kids in the backyard. Going so far as to tell them to collect sticks and rocks and show them how to use their imagination.

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
