The Trump administration is building a national citizenship data system

MAGAs don’t care about the creation of a National Citizenship Database. They all live in fear. They were in the forefront of passing the Patriot Act. They will gladly give up their privacy to feel a little more secure. Of course, it is these same idiots who then claim the ā€œDeep Stateā€ is out to get them.

I remember when conservatives went all ballistic over the idea of a national ID card. Now their philosophy is there is nothing wrong with a little domestic spying by the government into their private lives.

MAGAs are the most most confused set of people this nation has ever seen. They don’t know whether they are coming or going. Of course, when your whole sense of being is build around the worship of one man and that man is a walking contradiction, you’d expect them to be confused.

Benjamin Franklin warned us about MAGA types:

This si a whole lot of nothing, what are you aafraid of? if you collect social security and or use medicare then THEY know who you are and where you are.... the fact that they might verify if your a citizen? that scares you?

The irony here is how deeply Republicans have invested in "victimhood". They saw how well it worked for Dems and adopted it as their own favored political zeitgeist. Only bid-daddy government can save them.

It's different when they do it. This is a "kinder, gentler" fascism.
So making sure you are a citizen when it comes to voting is "fascism"?

Leftists have no problem with a national gun registry and vaccine passport but against child molester and citizenship registry.

ā€œThe recent history of elections is littered with failed data matching efforts, often driven by false fraud narratives, which have entangled eligible voters. The first Trump administration attempted the beginnings of a similar data project, though the effort shuttered after most states balked at sharing their voter data.

The fact that the development and rollout follow President Trump's falsehoods about widespread noncitizen voting makes election experts wary of how this new tool will work.

Everyone registering to vote must swear, under penalty of perjury, that they are a U.S. citizen. The consequences for noncitizens who try to vote include fines, prison time and deportation. Officials say that deterrent is why cases of ineligible people casting ballots are incredibly rare — a fact that's become increasingly apparent as more and more states devote resources to uncovering the few people that slip through the cracks every election. Research has also shown that when noncitizens do vote, it's often not to commit fraud but rather because they misunderstood eligibility rules.ā€

Another ā€˜solution’ in search of a ā€˜problem’ that doesn’t exist.

Trump’s unwarranted, bizarre obsession with this non-issue continues.
It is important and critical that the American people--ALL the American people--can be confident that our elections are as honest and accurate as it is possible to make them.

Ensuring that only citizens of a legal age and with a permanent address in their federal district can register to vote is critical to that. And then ensuring that only registered voters are allowed to vote is the second component of that.

Any who do not want either policy enforced are those who want to be able to cheat.

White victimhood.

Hey! At least I am consistent in my faith and beliefs, (conspiracies) right or wrong!
Satan has come down to you in a fury...because he knows his time is short, and you don't even recognize him...hopefully you'll wake up! Oh, he (Trump?) is all powerful and succeeds at all, until he is taken out by the one and only, JC. I await the rejoicing reserved for that time! :D
Your faith doesn't jive with the teachings of Jesus

There is a child molester registry. Try and keep up.

Did you think citizens weren't already documented in national databases?
